Great place to stay on Amelia Island

We had an excellent stay at The Addison. The room was clean and charming. The place was meticulously maintained. Ron and Lisa were excellent hosts. They helped with restaurant suggestions as well as places to visit. Bicycles were provided for free and made for a great way to get around and see Fernandina. The happy hour made for a nice way to meet other guests. I absolutely would recommend The Addison as a great place to stay on Amelia Island. Absolutely worth it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Addison and highly recommend. The owners Ron and Lisa were great and it was very enjoyable talking with them. The area around the Addison is magically and takes you back in time.

It was OK, albeit a little puzzling and not as welcoming as other B&Bs we’ve been to. Nobody was there to check us in when we arrived at 4:50 pm. No note or anything, even though I had emailed our arrival time, which was within their normal hours. The hostess showed up about 10 min later, a little blasé. No happy hour snacks as advertised on their own website, and no explanation of why not. Just wine or beer, which were plentiful. On the positive side, the room was clean, comfortable, cool, and dark enough in the morning, The other guests were fun to talk to.

Beautifully restored old inn. Accomadations are first class. The owners are on site and super friendly. Breakfasts, on the verranda, were wonderful. The Inn is a very short walk to the historic district, lots of great resturants and shopping. Short drive to the beach. Highly recommended.

The Addison is everything that a B&B should be! Lisa and Ron are relaxed hosts and offer a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. The Addison is ideally located so we could enjoy the town, walking everywhere, as well as the beach and greenway. We will be back!
