Jaffna District

Northern Province

Top view of Jaffna is the northernmost city in the tropical island of Sri Lanka .
Along the northernmost coast of Sri Lanka, these shimmering springs share a wall with the sea, but their freshwater source is connected to the Nilavarai bottomless well, over ten kilometers away, or so the story goes. Known for their healing properties, all are welcome to bathe and benefit from the healing natural spring waters. #BVSBlue
Flying to Jaffna? This is your airport.
A peanut selling women at Nagadeepa Island. These kind of people are common in the island and visitors can buy some small ornaments and food for very low prices. Above all, visitors can capture some glorious photographs as well.
A Tamil worker at Nallur Kovil. This is among my favorite captures from the Jaffna trip. Jaffna is full of Hindu Kovils and worth to visit them, in order to study Hindu traditions and craftsmanship.
