"The hotel itself was nice enough but we were very disappointed on arrival to find that the bar and the restaurant were both closed for reasons my Spanish was not good enough to understand. The promised restaurants in the village turned out to also be closed but we were eventually able to find some snacks at a bar. Having specifically booked a place with bar and restaurant it is very annoying to have to traipse around finding something to eat after a day's travelling. "

"I came for the eclipse on August 12, 2026. My first choice of hotel canceled at the last minute and Expedia kindly help me with this excellent hotel. I lucked out! The staff are very gracious, and I enjoyed the generous breakfast as well. It is a few kilometers outside of Burgos, so you have to plan for that"

"Lovely place. Fantastic staff. Great breakfast and lunch (we didn’t have dinner). Feels like it’s not been touched since Franco’s time but so atmospheric and charming. Brilliant spot in the village which is gorgeous. Lots of bars and restaurants there and little local shops. And good aircon. We both loved it!"
