Shuttle driver, front desk, dining room staff were all friendly and helpful. We did not see our housekeeper, but they did a wonderful job.

the hotel was great, but the experience was not great. There were people screaming until 2 in the morning partying and we had to get up at 4am for a flight. Also we had drinks at the pool bar the night before, to find out someone charged our card for over a thousand American dollars. I suggest bringing earplugs and only using cash when you are there.

Overall ok with helpful and cheerful staff but we noted two issues that are unacceptable by a hotel of such standards… 1. My wife noted that the sheets on the bed were stained and not clean… suspected they were not changed 2. Bath tub in the room was not clean… very visible dirt ring noticed

If you are arriving after 8pm at OR Tambo, there is no shuttle service to the hotel. When we arrived the airport wifi was not working, so we could not get an uber. We dont have SA simcards, so could not make a phone call. Had to make use of these random guys standing outside arrivals claiming to be taxi drivers using unmarked cars. Nerve-wracking, but luckily arrived at the hotel safely.

Beds are Terrible
Hi, Check in was extremley slow, long ques and only 2 persons at check in. Our bed was the worst part of our stay. Everytime my husband moved, it felt like I was on a waterbed or trampoline - we could not sleep all night

Property was clean with a quick check in but bathrooms were quite small. Buffet breakfast was vey nice with a great selection.

Metcourt Peermont Emperors Hotel Service Stinks
If you're looking for friendly or half decent service, don't stay here. The staff are shockingly rude & customer service is non-existant. I wrote a 12 point essay to the hotel about what went wrong in ONE night. I've traveled the world, every country in Africa included, and this was the worst customer experience to date.
Don't expect service anywhere in this hotel

Achei o valor um pouco alto para o que realmente oferece. O quarto era pequeno e achei o chuveiro um pouco apertado pra uma pessoa mais alta. Não há garrafa de água cortesia, como na maioria dos hotéis, com a explicação de que a água é potável.Alem disso, a maioria dos bares e restaurantes do complexo fecham às 22hs e são bem distantes dos outros condomínios ...sem carro ou um Shuttle interno (que não tem, eu imagino, pelo menos neste horário), impossível de conhecer. Além disso, chegamos numa segunda feira, e nem o bar do nosso condomínio estava aberto. Foi realmente frustrante, porque esperávamos que fosse um lugar com várias opções noturnas acessíveis além do cassino. O mais positivo para nós foi o transfer cortesia.

No Proper Bathroom.
Beware. The rooms in this hotel do not have proper separate bathrooms. There is a curtained off area in the bedroom behind which is a shower cubicle and a toilet cubicle with smoked glass doors and a wash basin. I was travelling alone so it wasn’t a big problem but if my wife had been with me we would have found this lack of bathroom privacy totally unacceptable.

The family room was spacious and breakfast was good, but the running of the hotel was very poor. The swimming pool rules about queuing to receive wrist bands was ridiculous, and the token rules for towels was pathetic. The pool closed at 6pm at the height of summer which was ridiculous. We ordered an evening meal one night at the hotel restaurant which was disgusting, the fish was not fresh and the chips were like rubber. The management were not professional, closing a door in my husbands face when he went to complain. Overall, not a pleasant experience, would definitely not stay there again. Would not recommend.
