Amazing staff, building maintenance needed!

The staff were friendly and helpful. However, we stayed here the same time of year last year and found the hotel had deteriorated substantially over the last year. The elevator needs substantial maintenance as the slack in the chain would cause a drastic jerk when it would begin to move. They also no longer have Continental breakfast offered. As for our room the counter in our bathroom was just hanging there, like someone had sat on it or pushed down on it. The shower head was so clogged With hard water deposit that water was barely trickling out. There was dirt in every corner of the room. I’d live to say that I’d be back next year but I can’t guarantee that due to the state we found the room in this year.

The tub didn’t seem cleaned looked run down. Staff were supper nice. Just an older looking building walls are thin you can hear everyone or everyday being open or closed.

Comfortable and reasonable price, close to hospital, restaurants and shopping. What I didn't like was the people including the front desk clerk smoking at the entrance door to the hotel. The second night I was there, a person was on his phone in the middle of the night on speaker phone, talking really loud.

Many vacant buildings in the area. Floor was sticky in our room. It seems like there are many long term residents. This morning when we left, more than half the rooms had huge bags of trash outside their doors. Oversize parking is parking outside the parking lot along the access road. No restaurants nearby.

Won't stay here again

We have stayed at other Main Stay Suites...this one is far below others as it is an old Quality Inn. The room did have space but the bathroom was very small and felt dirty from being old and neglected. The staff was great and friendly...that was the good. The breakfast was just some mini muffins. We went out for breakfast. The walls are thin so you hear everything from other rooms and hallway. The TV was a smart that barely worked and needed to be reset every time it was turned on. The homeless were camped across the parking lot at an old closed Steak & Shake. Not bothersome but it gives an idea of the place you are at. We will not stay here again.

I liked the stay but I didn’t love it, as I was in my room me and my family were relaxing when all of a sudden the door just opened but since I had the safety lock they couldn’t walk in. But I’m not sure how they were able to open it since you need a card to even get in, the door to the room I was staying it didn’t lock so I had to use the safety lock so I honestly didn’t feel 100% safe as a women with her kids. The page says they have a pool and hot tub in which they didn’t that’s one of the reasons why I booked my stay there too but It was okay I could have found better though.
