Fantastic location and accommodation

What fantastic hotel resort right on the river side and close to the famous rail bridge, lovely and peaceful and with a view of the river (10 metres away).

Unique and beautiful location

Had a lovely few days here, the staff were wonderful. There were very few guests while I was there, and for me that was heavenly. The actual bridge over the river Kwai is directly accessible from the hotel, a short walk from the security hut. Really unique ! There's also a 7 eleven just outside the facility, so that's very good too.

Great location. Property on older side and probably due for a Reno to take it to the next level but I stayed for ease of location - close to the action but away from the hustle and bustle. Pleasant staff. Will happily choose here for my next visit.

Good room nice view on the river, breakfast overcrowded with bus people, evening diner let I say don’t order because it’s not eatable I did have T bone, now my shoe sole is more tender than this thing, in one word un eatable!

I love staying at this hotel. Very peaceful and the staff can’t do enough for you. The main swimming pool is beautiful and clean, the walk along the river Kwai is lovely. The breakfast is amazing. I’ve stopped here a couple of times now and I will definitely be returning again.

Tranquility personified

This place is simply amazing, so quiet and peaceful you get the best night sleep in the most wonderful bed you can imagine. Golf cart from the reception lobby to your room and full bath and shower.

All of the interior spaces, including my room, are/were immaculate, exactly what you should expect from an establishment calling itself a ‘Resort’. The exterior is showing a little age/wear from the brutal Thai weather. I didn’t eat at the resort so I can not comment on the food or food service. It’s a beautiful location on a bend in the river just across the historically famous River Kwai bridge. The bridge is approximately a 10 minute walk.

Lovely pool area and view over the river

Good for the price and quiet location - easy walk to bridge. Property is looking tired but clean and pool area is lovely. Very poor service in restaurant first night - waited over an hour for ANY service - not even a drink. Seem to have plenty of staff everywhere but the restaurant.

Stunning estate of spacious buildings with huge rooms, grand balconies, excellent air-con, ample hot water and all amenities. Two pools, verdant grounds. Not impressed with wifi or internal lagoon, but the lillypads were great.

Goof location next to the river kwai. Well kept property with clean rooms. No elevator to the upper (third) floors. Hot water is only luke warm. Definitely not warm enough for using the bath tub as some other reviewers also noted. Breakfast is ok with many varieties but food was not kept warm. Restaurant staff showed limited interest in serving customers even when there were fewer than 10 people during breakfast time.

This is a really nice property and lovely swimming pool options. Always seemed like a lack of staff particularly around breakfast time. The grounds are nice and great frontage to the river. An easy 10 mins walk to Kwai bridge makes this ideal for getting to that area. the staff weren't that friendly2, polite yes so would say hello but rarely servcie with a smile

Great hotel, just needs a little attention x

We have been coming to this hotel since 2015 and it’s still one of our favourites. In truth it is now in need of a little attention. The bathrooms desperately need updating preferably with walk in showers. My only real gripe is the lack of coat hangers. When on a 3 week holiday I require more than 2 coat hangers per person. That said, we still love this hotel, its location and its staff. They truly cannot do enough for you and the food is excellent. We’ll be back x

Must have a car..

I booked here because the pictures show the bamboo restaurant on the river with perfect view of the bridge.. the restaurant has been closed since Covid I am now told.. About a 2km walk from reception to the bridge - this has to be done in daylight. The start of the bridge only has narrow plate to talk and no lights, a long way to fall. Which also means you need to get a taxi back from town which is easier said than done. Because your on the other side of the bridge about 15 min by road no one wanted to know, easier money to be made from the bars pickups. Room was really nice, 3rd floor stairs were a little tedious once you were in and out a few times, but the service was spot on with the kart to pick you up and service for your luggage so getting around the resort was easy. I would stay here again, IF I had a car or bike Breakfast was great, will even do demonstrations for eggs or Thai coffee making.

Unfriendly for anyone with any slight disability

Very frendly helpful service on check in. The rooms are large and spacious but only 2 coat hangers in the wardrobe is not good. The grounds around the hotel are most impressive and well maintained. Access to the swimming pool for people with any slight disability is an impossibility as there are no steps for children or the elderly. Its the same inside the hotel with no lifts or elevator to safely access the upper and lower floors. The Breakfast provided is good and provides a good start to the day but why do you place the cutlery in single use plastic bags? This is 2025, please stop this practice of single use plastics. Overall the hotel is in a great location but has seen better days and is in need of a little TLC
