RECOMMEND SUPERIOR BEACH ROOM (AGUNG VIEW 1)
The Hotel proper (including reception and both pools) and most of the rooms are across the road from the beach but the Superior Beach Rooms are located behind and above their beachfront Amed Cafe. Large room with big balcony and outdoor furniture including daybed, views of the Volcano, beach and water. Room has AC, WiFi, desk and Fridge. Free water (cross the road to reception to refill bottles). Buffet breakfast reasonably good, Cafe meals somewhat small and expensive but good quality. Diveshop onsite, good snorkeling straight off the beach, excellent freediving - the famed Amed Pyramids are a short swim straight out from the beachfront. Short walk along the beach, or even swim, to Jemeluk Bay for more snorkeling and eating options. ATM onsite, moneychangers and several Warungs available within easy walking distance. Staff friendly and eager to please, would definitely stay again in this room

Ruhe, Natur, Schöne Pools, liebenswerte Menschen,
Wir sind zum zweiten Mal für eine längere Zeit hier. Wer Ruhe und Natürlichkeit sucht ist hier richtig. Das Gartenzimmer mit schöner Terasse ist perfekt! Frühstück am Strand, zwei schöne Pool... ideal für alle die es einfach und natürlich lieben. Die Mitarbeiter sind liebenswert... sie kümmern sich um jeden Wunsch... einfach toll !

2 schöne Pools, schreckliches Zimmer, Straßenlärm
Unser Superiorzimmer (mit klappernder Aircon) hatte keinen Schrank, lag gleich neben der Rezeption, von wo das Licht störend ins Zimmer fiel, die Dusche hatte nur kaltes Wasser und der Duschschlauch war stark verrostet, die Duschwanne aus Stein eklig. Beim Staufach über dem Tisch blieb die Tür nicht zu, die Schublade des Nachttischchens klemmte. Die Terrasse ist gross und mit Tagesbett, jedoch bei den unteren Zimmern direkt an der Straße. Das Frühstück als Buffett im Strandrestaurant in Ordnung. Am Strand sind einige Liegen, jedoch kein Schatten. Am oberen Pool mit schöner Aussicht stehen nur 4 Liegen, ebenso am kleineren.

Last minute booking when ferries to Gili cancelled
Great position and realistic description. Due to time constraints there was not much available in the desired location. This met our expectations and was efficiently arranged.

Nous avions pris la chambre sans ait climatisé et ce fut une grosse erreur, car il faisait très chaud! De plus, il ny avait pas d'eau chaude et la toilette ne fonctionnait pas bien. Bref, je vous recommande de prendre une chambre plus spacieuse.

Leuk hotel, goede plek om tijdelijk te verblijven
Hotel is prima, goede service en de kamer was erg goed en mooi. Hotel zit vlakbij strand en aan de overkant van de straat is het restaurant. Prima hotel en zeker een aanrader om er tijdelijk te verblijcen

Pools were nice and clean. Towels were old and also bathroom facilities were older and not really clean. Stuff was not so friendly of giving us more information aboout destination and services.

Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure avec vue sur le jardin pour 4 nuits et nous avons eu une chambre en rez de chaussée en bord de route et donc très bruyante. Les équipements de la chambre (salle de bain comprise) étaient vétustes et en nombre insuffisants. Pour notre dernière nuit, on nous a demandé de changer de chambre car ils avaient besoin de la notre. Nous avons accepté car nous avions à la place une meilleure chambre mais cela n'est pas professionnel. Les deux piscines et le centre de massage sont agréables. Le restaurant en face (où le petit dej est servi) sert des plats de qualité très moyenne pour un prix qui dépasse ceux des autres restaurants où nous avons mangé à Bali. Petit déjeuner très limité en choix. La plage face à l'hôtel n'est pas la meilleure, nous vous conseillons de vous rendre dans la baie qui se trouve à 10 minutes à pied à droite de l'hôtel (lorsque vous en sortez). En bref, éviter cet hôtel!

Muy lindo hotel frente a la playa. Habitaciones muy bien ambientadas. Con galería y jardín privado con estanque con irupés. Muy natural y luminoso. Personal amable. El mar bueno para snorkeling con los arrecifes cercanos a los que se llega nadando sin problema. Interesante experiencia.

I've been coming to this place since 1999 and find that it improves every time that I come. The gardens and pools are a delight. The new construction is like a work of art. A very good artistic eye and an example of a steadily improving and upgrading property. I always spend part of my Bali vacations here without fail.

Perfect place to chill out for a few days!
The only thing for improvement is the old a/c units in some of the units needs repairing/replacing. This is a great place for solitude and quiet. The beach and restaurant are a popular destination for day trippers.

Hotel sur la plage et bonne propreté
Hotel avec accueil tres sympathique. Restaurant tres bon avec choix. Petit dejeuner N°2 copieux. Acces plage super. Pub à côté de l'hotel tres cool avec choix de cooktail bon marché. Quelques problemes techniques dans la chambres avec les sanitaires mais rien pour gacher un bon sejour de 2 nuits.

Relaxing stay
The hotel is a large complex on the hillside across the rod from the beach. We upgraded from the standard room as decided we needed air-conditioning. The larger room was close to the smaller pool, very comfortable with a veranda, including hammock. There are 2 pools, and breakfast was served in the restaurant next to the beach. The selection was fine -usual eggs, homemade bread for toast, juice and fresh fruit.

Very average but clean. Plenty of other hotels.
Average for price. Rooms, bathroom clean but old. No free water and only soap for toiletries. Towels worn and grey. Location OK but will stay elsewhere next time. Had one very ordinary meal in restaurant. Beer warm. Wi Fi frustrating. Staff friendly.

Gutes und günstiges Hotel am Strand
Die Zimmer sind gut und sauber, die Matratzen hart. Hatten ein Zimmer ohne AC, aber der Fan war stark aber sehr laut. Leider gab es keine Moskitonetze. Schön waren die beiden Pools. Auch das es am Strand liegen gab fand ich klasse. Das F ühstüch war ebenfalls gut und würde direkt am Strand serviert. Vom Strand aus kann man direkt noch 2 Metern im Riff Schnorcheln und Tauchen.

hôtel proche de la plage mais surtout en face de ses bains de soleil dispo gratuitement, il y a un super spot de snorkeling : tortues de mer, superbes poissons à quelques mètres du rivage !!! que du bonheur très bon petit déjeuner et deux très belles piscines

Lovely but run down
I had Agung View rm 2 - an older beachfront room over the restaurant. Could be lovely but maintenance and staff education/supervision lacking. Smelly drains, broken furniture, fridge never restocked. All issues resolved promptly but drains smelled again next day, broken day bed simply remade until I demanded a repair. All staff happy and agreeable but I gave up on the fridge!

Staff members kept asking us to buy things
As we walked around the hotel staff members were consistently trying to sell us things. Getting hawked on the street is one thing as it's common all over south east Asia, it's really annoying when it's a hotel you are already paying for.

Average, solid place to stay by the beach
Solid place to stay by the beach in Amed. Loved that there was an outside patio that was private and furnished. Wish the AC was stronger. Otherwise, it was a lovely placeto stay (amount of windows are awesome in a corner unit)

Emplacement super pour faire la plongée
L'hôtel propose un grand choix de divertissement: navettes dans les autres villages, restaurant au bord de la plage, il y a deux piscines et diving center. Perso on a pas choisi celui ci car j'ai dû négocier les prix au téléphone avec le patron et je trouve pas cette démarche très commerciale. Après on nous ai dit que c'est une filiale de plus gros centre de plongée sur Amed donc peut être peu les emportent deux plongeurs de plus ou moins. Par contre le personnel à l'hôtel très très accueillant et à l'écoute. Le seul point négatif c'est les taxi mans devant l'hôtel qui matin midi et soir veulent t'emmener quelque part.... Mais bon c'est partout pareil

Decent place to stay with interesting quirks
The breakfast was great and the staff are exceedingly friendly - though you get the impression they're always looking for an in to sell you something. I had booked a fan room and arrived to learn it didn't have hot water. Fortunately a friend had decided to join me so we upgraded to a room double the cost. We saw the fan room and a lower cost A/C room and they smelled musty. Our room was clean, though the towels were dingy grey. The biggest "feature" of this room is that it had frosted glass doors between the room and the outside as well as between the room and the bathroom. What's more, there was a panel of frosted glass between the bathroom and the outside!! My friend happened to be of the opposite gender so it was interesting - but not as uncomfortable as the feeling that somebody from the outside could be looking in when you shower at night and you'd never know. I was happy when I saw the shower curtain that would block the direct view so I pulled it across only to find out it was sheer! A previous reviewer had mentioned a "design flaw" with the glass in the bathroom; I don't see how this could have been anything but intentional. Also, we had a large window overlooking the street and when we looked out, men offering us transport pointed to their cars. Needless to say we kept the curtains closed, sadly blocking the beautiful light.

Shuttle stops here
Great place to stay if you want to dive or snorkle. Good was good too. The town isn't very walkable, no sidewalk, walked the beach, that was nice. Easy transport to the Gili Islands!!

Prisvärt om man ska dyka
Mycket prisvärd vistelse. Vi fick å andra sidan ett av de bättre rummen - våra kompisar testade det rum som var en prisklass ner och hade en skräckupplevelse. Dålig täckning på wifi. Området är bra om man vill dyka och nästan bara därför.
