A nice, pleasant hotel with great service

We returned to to Stratos, as we had a great time last summer. The location is great, quiet but just two minutes away from bustling Athitos. It's pleasant colourful hotel, offering a nice breakfast buffet with homemade local delicacies and everything it says.

The property is stunning, clean and the staff are amazing. They helped us with all our enquiries including finding us wheelchair hire for our mum who was struggling with her back. Nothing was too much trouble and we will for sure be returning next year

Perfekt boende i Afytos

Ett väldigt trevligt hotel som ligger perfekt i byn. Bra svala rum och ok sänger. Väldigt fina ägare som gör allt för att du ska vara nöjd. Parkering som går att boka är oxå perfekt. Om man bor i Afytos så är bil bra att ha om man inte är träningsnarkoman:).

We'd return to Stratos for another holiday

All my friends and myself enjoyed our stay very much... location is great, service is great, what you need for a perfect holiday... some little details can be improved but overall a great experience. The 'greek' breakfast definitely worth trying.

Güzel bir tatil için Stratos

Çok misafirperver insanlardı. Kahvaltı çok güzel ve hergun değişim çeşitlerden oluşuyordu. Yer olarak mahalle arasında ama çok temuz bir tesisti. Denize yakın, yemek yerlerine yakın.

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, great breakfast with home-made pies and jams. Well taken care of rooms and pool and easy parking space (which in busy Afitos is a big plus). Overall would recommend it and will probably visit again.

Afytos is a gem

Lovely welcoming hotel made all the more special by the friendly and attentive staff who greet and serve with a smile. Rooms are basic but cleaned and serviced every day with new towels provided every couple of days. Hotel is very close to the centre of the beautiful and very quaint village and is a 10 minute walk from the beach. Those who are less able bodied, elderly, or with young children, should be aware that the beach is downhill from the village and the walk back up can be pretty exhausting. If you have your own transport then it's not a problem as a road leads directly to the beach. Plenty of quality restaurants in the village, i would particularly recommend Soboro, excellent food, great beer and Nancy's delicious puddings! Afytos is a gem and The Stratos is very much a home from home. We hope to visit again very soon.

Good location, but it urgently needs renovation

Relaxed hotel with decent breakfast in a good position. Nevertheless they have to work more on cleanineness and attention to details. Our room was outdated and not worth the price we have paid.

Decent hotel in a great small town

I don't often take the time to write reviews, but given that I chose this hotel based on the online reviews, I feel obligated to do so. It appears to be family owned hotel in the middle and a wonderful old town on the coast. Honestly, I'm a little shocked by all the great reviews, perhaps American standards are different. It was by far the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in on my trip, very dated and basic room. I have mixed feelings about the staff, some very present ( did their best to address the concerns I had) some extremely rude. Overall, not a place I would ever return to! I've traveled extensively throughout Europe for the past 25 years, I've stayed in hostels in my college years that had cleaner bathrooms. For the price, you can find much better places in Greece.

Koselig hotell som anbefales

Fint hotell i utkanten av den koselige landsbyen Afythos. Stille og rolig hotell, 100 m til hovedgaten. Ikke noe partyhotell, men passende for par og familier. Bra service, gode senger og praktiske rom for en familie på fire med to separate soverom, a/c i begge soverommene. Wifi fungerte bra. Ikke så stort badebasseng, men det var aldri noe problem å finne solsenger. Fint at man kan flytte solsengene i skyggen hvis man ønsker det. God og passe variert frokost. 10 min gange til stranden. Gratis hotellparkering hvis man har bil. Et lite "bibliotek" for utlån av bøker (også norske) var et pluss. God valuta for pengene.

Anything ok. We stayed at Stratos Hotel 10 days ago. The staff and especially the owner who greeted us was very polite and helpful. The room immaculate. Clean, comfortable, flat screen TV and very good Wifi internet. Nice and clean pool in the yard. Satisfactory breakfast especially homemade jams and preserves. The location of the hotel is very good with nearby parking and quiet and near the center. Satisfactory price. Whenever you visit Afitos, I will definately stay at Stratos.

Good value central hotel

Decent location close to village Main Street. Hotel has many facilities and services associated with larger establishments and tries hard to please. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean, nicely furnished, probably renovated in recent years, bathrooms decent, though a little dark, and beds/pillows comfortable. Many of the balconies not really balconies, just a railed off space on the walkways.
