“A nice boutique hotel located in a very downtown of Stone Town. It is kept in a vintige wooden style, but rooms are fully equipped with AC and safe. The breakfast is served on a top floor terrace with a nice view over surrounding rooftops (photos attached). “The kindness of the host ”

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.
