We had a wonderful stay as two couples on a trip together at Kupu Kupu - everyone was so lovely and wanted to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. We felt so welcome and comfortable, our rooms were also beautiful. Everyone who worked there was amazing but in particular San and Andy were great. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend.

This place was truly the highlight of our trip to ko phangan. We visited on our honeymoon and the rooms could not be more beautiful. The service was impeccable and the reception staff were absolutely so gracious and upgraded our room to one that blew us away. We're so grateful to this hotel for all their hospitality and will definetely come back!

Beautiful property, great "luxury" feel about it. The staff cannot do enough for you. The beachfront pool villa we stayed in was wonderful and offered the most stunning sunsets, its own plunge pool and a nice quiet piece of gorgeous sandy beach. Dining was a mixed affair but No Noe - the waiter who served us during our stay - was truly brilliant and made our visit extra special. He was definitly a credit to Kupu Kupu.

Beautiful Hotel ideal for couples

The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s in a quiet location but not too far to reach bars and restaurants. Our room was amazing it was huge with a bath in the centre and the bed made a statement with the drapes hanging over it. We had our own private pool which was lovely, however the decking by our pool was splintering in some areas which meant you had to make sure you wore footwear when walking on it. I felt some luxuries could be added to the room like body lotion and liquid soap by the sinks, especially as this is a l’occitane hotel. I had 2 spa treatments which were really reasonable and were exceptional. The restaurant was lovely, the food was amazing both at breakfast and dinner with the most beautiful setting and views. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. All in all we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

A bit disappointing

The location and space are stunning but unfortunately are aging not very well....we came here in 2019 everything was pristine, we can see it is not been very well taken care of... service was pleasing and food very good! overall a bit too expensive for what it is, lacking modernity.

Stunning.

A stunning hotel. We loved: the pool area, the rooms, the service by Andy and Wayan - these guys went the extra mile and were super friendly! The room we had came with a plunge pool and direct access to the beach. We stayed for my 40th birthday and when we arrive the room was decorated with balloons and a birthday cake - nice touch. What could have been better: the location is pretty limiting and when the weather is bad there isn’t really much to do. Some of the service was a little patchy at times, it felt like new people were being trained though. Overall; a great hotel largely due to the stunning room and beach access. One of my 5 favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Overpriced and run-down

Dated and run-down resort. Looks like they have given up a bit. The hotel is very overpriced for what it is. The breakfast was incredibly basic and definitely way below what you would expect from a “five-star” hotel. We constantly had people in our villa, cause everything was broken and kept breaking down. No hot water, tv was on and off, phone not working and constant power outages.

This is a beautiful resort. The staff are wonderful, helpful, and friendly. The room was beautiful and the facilities (other than the dodgy wi-fi) were great. The only downfall for us was that the hotel presented itself as vegan friendly on the website (and we were asked regarding dietary requirements on arrival) but in practice the variety and quality of vegan food offered was basic, and other than great fruits and juices at breakfast, the meals were untempting and bland with unmarinated, soft tofu in most dishes, and no desserts other than fruit (we did check). This has certainly not been our experience in other hotels and resorts so was quite a disappointments. Nevertheless we found many amazing places serving great vegan food in the vicinity so this did not impact our stay too badly. When we did eat at the hotel the waiting staff were never less than warm and lovely. Overall, not our best experience of a resort or hotel in Thailand but still very good. The hotel does make a mistake in setting high expectations regarding its ability to provide for vegan guests.

Très mitigée et beaucoup trop cher

Chambre avec piscine privée , front de mer Expérience très mitigé. Hôtel est très bien mais il est dégradé à plusieurs endroit et c’est bien dommage car il pourrait être juste incroyable ! Nous n’avions pas de lumière dans notre allée le soir pour rentrer , nous étions dans le noir. La toiture se dégrade très fortement , parasol cassé , tube de dentifrice sur la toiture , pas d’eau chaude le dernier matin , la porte extérieur qui ferme notre espace clos ne fonctionne pas, ampoule miroir salle de bain qui ne fonctionne pas … Salle de sport qui manque Beaucoup de chose et très petite , pas du tout digne d’un 5 * Nous avons signalé les problèmes lors du premier soir mais rien a été pris en compte malheureusement Le personnelle est juste incroyable et ils sont toujours au petits soins pour nous ! Restaurant du soir très bon
