Good location, but disappointing for a 4 star

The pros: good location. Staff are generally helpful, if not overly friendly. The hotel is clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and the buffet dinner if you have it is not bad value at €22 for all you can eat and it’s not bad quality. The beds are comfortable. The cons: room is very spartan, didn’t even have a kettle, which we had to request from the reception, fortunately they had one left. No air conditioning, quite stifling in the room, glad it wasn’t too hot when we were there, otherwise it would be unbearable. We were in a room facing the front of the hotel and every morning a very loud church bell would go off at 7am for a few minutes. No sleeping through it. Great alarm if you want to be woken at 7, but terrible if you want any sort of lie in. Our shower holder was broken and two mornings there was no hot water! For a 4 star hotel this is all really poor. The swimming pool complex is large with jacuzzi (you have to pay extra for the sauna), and it’s a horseshoe shape, almost like a small water park, which is great for kids and families splashing about, but no good if you actually want to do any proper swimming. If it had been an £80 a night 3 star hotel we would have been quite happy with it, but for the money we paid and it supposedly being 4 star, we weren’t impressed and overall would not recommend it. On a side note, the tourist tax is more than hotels.com quote. It’s €7 per night.

Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience, Not Up to 4-Star Standards I recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a 4-star experience as advertised, but unfortunately, it fell far short of that expectation. The location is indeed great, but the building is very run down, which was evident from the moment I arrived. One of the biggest issues was the lack of air conditioning in the room, which made my stay during a hot summer week almost unbearable. With temperatures reaching 90 degrees, the room was stifling and uncomfortable. The front desk did offer me a fan, but it did little to alleviate the humidity and heat in the room, making it a very unpleasant experience. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities you would expect from a 4-star hotel. There was no coffee, no bathroom amenities, and overall, the room felt outdated and poorly maintained. The towels were old and worn out, further contributing to the impression that this hotel is not being kept up to standard. The most frustrating part of my stay was the issue with the tourist tax. When I booked through Orbitz, I was informed that the tourist tax would be $16, payable at the hotel. However, upon checkout, the hotel charged me 21 euros instead. Despite showing my receipt, the staff refused to rectify the charge, which left a very sour taste in my mouth. Breakfast was just okay, but it certainly didn’t make up for the outdated facilities and the overall poor condition of the hotel. It seemed to cater more to local gues

Sehr empfehlenswert

Wir können dieses Hotel guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Vor fast 20 Jahren gebaut, könnte es von außen zwar eine Auffrischung vertragen, im Innenbereich waren wir jedoch ausgesprochen zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sauberkeit des Hotels, ob Flure, Restaurant, Lift oder Zimmer war sehr gut. Ein großes, abwechslungsreiches und schmackhaftes Frühstücksbufett bei toller Aussicht auf die Berge ließ uns gut in den Tag starten. Auch das Servicepersonal setzte sich ausnahmslos aus aufmerksamen, freundlichen Mitarbeitern zusammen. Das Zimmer war groß und auch wesentlich kleinere Bäder hatten wir schon in teureren Hotels. Das Bad war sehr sauber, nirgendwo Schimmel oder defekte Teile. Man traut sich kaum, die beiden negativen Kleinigkeiten zu erwähnen. Zum makellosen Zustand des Bades passte lediglich der alte, verbeulte Abfalleimer nicht. Und im Zimmer waren zu wenig Steckdosen, jedenfalls in der Nähe des Bettes. Aber ein 2 Meter langes Ladekabel für das Mobiltelefon konnte auch diese Kleinigkeit vergessen lassen. Es ist sicher, dass wir dieses Hotel noch einmal buchen, wenn wir in die schönen slowenischen Alpen fahren.

Perfect breakfast, really tasty and a huge selection of different dishes. Very friendly staff, nice spa in the hotel 100 m away. Safe place, nice hotel for cyclists, proper bicycle storage. The building is quite well maintained, although it will need renovation in the near future.

Bra hotell mitt i byn.

Hotellet ligger perfekt mitt i byn, gångavstånd till restauranger och matbutik. Sängen, madrassen, hade gjort sitt och mycket obekväm, rörde sig den andra studsade man själv till. Handdukstorken fungerade inte eftersom den vattenburna värmen var avstängd på sommaren. Man vill kunna torka sina handdukar även på sommaren, alternativt får rummen förses med dubbeluppsättning handdukar. Frukosten var god och allt fanns.
