The first room provided on first floor was labelled non smoking but when lift door opens, you could immediately smell cigarette even at the corridor. Room was worse. Credit to the receptionist, room change was done swiftly. However, the room and toilet is not clean - dusty floor, unclean towel, smelly bed sheets, smelly pillows, stained toilet wall and shower glass, the shampoo and shower cream smells weird (and bad). There are much better hotels in KT to choose from so I will never return to this one.

New hotel, pleasant enough stay

Ming Star was lovely. Good if you are not looking for hotel breakfast, so I suggest going out and giving the local food a try. Fell in love with Nasi Air here (first trip to Terengganu)

Good value for money hotel

Stayed three nights with wife. Location is by the main road so may be a bit noisy for rooms facing the road. Rear facing rooms may have unpleasant oily smell seeping through the closed windows because of many restaurants along the row of shop lots. Kitchen outlet ventilation pipes were left with segments exposed rendering the filters useless in filtering the smell. This goes on from morning till night. Really nauseating to go through. Parking is ample at the back but no roof shelter from the sun. The sweet room I stayed in is ok with good water pressure. Tiny black ants on the bedsheet, desk and wall is an inconvenience. Bed mattress is ok not great. Air conditioning is ok though it takes a while to cool down especially in the afternoon . Reception service is ok too. I would say that it is adequate for a short stay. Not outstanding but not bad either. Only negative point is the lack of tv channels. No cable vision. Really boring if stay in the room long time.

Hôtel confortable et propre mais impersonnel

Hôtel propre et confortable, moderne. Boissons, café, thé et petits gâteaux offerts dans la chambre et le frigo. Nous avons réservé la "sweet room" avec déco & peluches hello kitty pour notre fille de 3 ans qui a adoré ! En revanche, notre lit était très bien mais notre fille n'avait qu'une banquette sans draps, dommage pour une chambre dédiée plutôt à des familles. L'accueil est très impersonnel et le personnel n'est pas très sympathique et incapable de donner le moindre renseignement. Le quartier est assez froid aussi, un peu loin du centre mais il y a quand même qq restaurants autour.
