Hotel and the rooms are getting run down. The hotel is in need of renovation and repairs. We had spacious room and the bathroom was reasonably clean with no hand soap and broken shampoo bottle and 1/3 rd of toilet paper roll. The reception desk staff were rude, and clueless. The area around the hotel is kind of dark and shady.

Hotel with inflated ratings

The hotel is very dated with run down bathroom facilities. The mini bar fridge wasn’t working and the wifi only works sometimes (as confirmed by the hotel staff). Overall, the ratings on Hotel.com is inflated !

Overall is good. But it is difficult to connect WiFi. Hotel should improve of this. I had been stayed this hotel since last year. I never success to connect the WiFi. I hope hotel can improve on this.

Generally speaking, the hotel is reasonably good given its price. The room is quite clean and the staffs are very friendly. The parking space is really ample and great. On the con side, the bed is hard and the breakfast is pretty simple. If we need a short stop over in Kuantan, I will choose the E-Red hotel again!

The cafe

overall is good. The cafe does not provide debit or credit card as payment method. If you have a meeting inside the hotel, you need to prepare some cash to buy food or drink.

Cozy hotel

It is cozy and clean. All of the furnishing is new. But im disappointed hotel didnt suscribe cantonese tv programmes " wah lei toi" (Astro). Which is Hong Kong TVB drrama and shows. I hppe hotel will subscribe this programme soon. It is local favourite. I feel it is acceptable without it.

Average hotel room at a quiet location

The non smoking room was filled with smoke smell, asked for a change of room but the hotel could not give me one. House keeping sprayed some liquid in the room to reduce the bad smell. The room was however big and spacious but is not carpeted.
