It is a modest hotel. The smallness of the rooms is compensated by the views of the city. It's just a couple of blocks from the National Arts Museum and the main square in the city, Plaza Murillo. The only major inconvenience is the noise, specially from Thursday to Saturday. There's a karaoke bar, a beer factory and bar in the same building, plus another live-band bar next door. I was on the fifth floor, with a priceless view over the city, but the noise was unbearable. I would have joined the karaoke but a howling dog has better singing skills than me...

We stayed 2 nights in early February - as one of around 15 hotels around Latin America in similar price bracket. The hotel is well-located in downtown La Paz ... with short walks to the Cathedral area, and museums. The hotel was helpful with early check-in, and the cleaning staff were very hard working. The hotel overall felt below-par. Some building works were ongoing in the restaurant area. Nearly every item we came in contact with - from plates and cutlery to blankets - even slices of bread on the breakfast buffet - were wrapped individually in plastic. Among many hotels that were very good, this was not really a hotel that suited us.
It’s not a luxury hotel, but I am without complaint, and you absolutely can’t beat it for the money.
Good location, clean, safe, helpful staff, modest breakfast, warm shower.
