Bonjour Mme Ramdial, I am dreadfully sorry that you had such a terrible experience during your one-night stay at Le Logis Alexandra (B&B) and shall endeavour to respond to your 14 complaints: Complaints 1 & 2 - upon arrival you advised me that you preferred to : (a) be on the first floor (b) have a bathtub and (c ) have a hard bed. The bed you booked was on the 2nd floor with a shower and a medium mattress so I offered you the choice of two different double rooms (unfortunately none of them having all of your requirements) and you chose one of the rooms on the first floor which had a hard bed but did not have a bathtub - I then told you that you could use the bath in the neighbouring room. As these rooms were in my private section they did not have the appurtenances supplied in the Chambres d’Hotes section. However had you asked I would have cheerfully brought you a TV & a hairdryer. Complaint 3 - the room where you took your breakfast is a common area, as is the courtyard in summer and the lounge in the cooler months. It is not, however, mandatory that B&B’s must offer communal areas. Complaints 4 & 7 - Never before have I received these complaints so I can only assume your standards are much higher than those of all of my other guests over the past 3 years who have given me a 9.1 rating. Nevertheless, I wish you had brought this to my attention immediately so it could have been rectified immediately. As regards Complaints 5 & 6 - the toiletries are complimentary NOT left-overs from other guests and there are hanger rods behind each door. Part 2 to follow.........
