"Self service check in was very frustrating. Booked through expedia and their confirmation code wouldn't work. Eventually a staff member helped us out and got it done. Then had to wait for an email to say room was ready, this was at 19:30 and check in is supposed to be from 15:00 onwards. Took about 30 minutes, which then allowed us to create our room key. Check out was even more frustrating, gave up and dropped key in drop box and left feeling very annoyed. Food court wasn't anything to write home about and fatburger was very overpriced. Room was functional but dated, and not even any coffee making facilities. Beds were way too soft, as were the pillows. Bathroom and shower were roomy and long countertop for my wife to fill with her cosmetics and toiletries. Aircon was very good and room was well lit with various lamps and lights. The room safe didn't work, but we were only staying for 3 days and didn't want any housekeeping service because of our short stay. Lyft fare to/from the airport was US$16, and southbound bus stop was right next to the hotel on Las Vegas Blvd, and only a couple of stops to the famous Las Vegas sign. Overall, a reasonable stay for the price of CAD$ 257"

Luxor Hotel and Casino

2/10 Terrible

"I was only there to stay in between a flight and that evening when I went to shower in the area that had a shower it flooded into where it looked as if it was a bathtub. When I called guest services, the option to have a new room was not offered. Only that a maintenance person could be sent up when time permitted. After traveling all day and having to get up early that alone was an inconvenience. But having to shower with my feet soaked in old things from the pipe and new water was not pleasant. The next morning, the only option that made sense was to use the bathroom sink to bathe. Additionally, it is terrible to know that this is an establishment amongst many that have the revenue to accommodate their guest. But the fact that there is no refrigerator only a four can cooler on top of the area where there’s a space for an actual refrigerator is astronomical. - My view of the Luxor “Never Again” will I stay there."

"Terrible rooms. The AC sounded like a jet engine all night long and kept the room either too hot or too cold. The walls are paper thin and you can gear everything the neighbors say. There was white crumbly stuff all over the bathroom and when I accidentally kicked over the bathroom trashcan it revealed like 100 cockroach eggs and something that looked like a bloody human tooth. I still gag thinking about it. When I asked for an extra night they charged me full normal price instead of the reduced hotels.com price. WILL NEVER GO AGAIN."

"If you rent a car it’s a lot to get back and forth to your car but that might be same for all hotels on the strip. Security in the garage are jerks for some reason. Everything is overpriced there….everything. They put us in a room right up against the elevators - they should make that a storage room as the elevator mechanics are absurdly loud all hours of the night. Not enough loungers by the pools. Other than that was fine I guess. No longer get your moneys worth on the strip. Will stay off strip from now on."
