“Went for a family vacation in May. Even though it wasn’t high season we were very happy with our stay in Lake Placid. Hotel staff was helpful, smiling and caring. Room got cleaned as we simply asked for new towels. We had really good hotel service. Great location. Everything was at a walking distance from the hotel. “We loved the Hotel Saranac. It is a beautiful old hotel located in the downtown area just steps away from shops and restaurants. Be forewarned, the rooms are small, but filled with charm, well appointed and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant is very good and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.”
