"Room was spacious! Room design was very modern. The cool thing was the stargazing skylight. There was a slope or ramp to go up the 2nd level rooms so totally easy and effortless. THe large window overlooking the lake and the mountain range was so nice. We could see the sunrise from our bed and sunset colours on the mountains while sipping coffee at the table too.
Room came with a bathtub but there was no bubble bath soap to use. Anyways no time as we went stargazing till late. Just 5min drive to Church of Good Shepard. It's the only hotel that provided toiletries including toothbrushes, disposable slippers, shower cap, etc. Minibar had payable items for convenience at reasonable prices. The in-room breakfast was superb. Many options to choose from and they were flexible to change some of the items.
Near a petting zoo and we stopped there to watch and take some photos in the morning before driving off. Location is good.
We voted this the second best hotel of the 7 we stayed in our NZ trip.
The only down thing was the shallow sink and it was also a bit stuck. So tended to splash out water onto the sink countertop."
