“I have been staying in Dartmouth working for the past 8 months and wish I found this place sooner. It is a lovely room with views and the couple are lovely and very welcoming. This place is better than all the hotels that I have stayed in. Would 100% recommend and happily stay in again.”

“The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of food on offer for breakfast. We had an evening meal too which was lovely. We were lucky with the weather so we made use of the outside pool. We visited here as it was my birthday I received a card and shortbread on arrival lovely personal touch thank you.”

“Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed.”

“The rooms were freezing and when we informed the manager we were told that the heating was broken. It was about 3 degrees outside that night and they didn’t even attempt to give us an electric heater or anything.”

“I called just to confirm that we would be able to go to the office to collect the keys on Sunday and that the office would definitely be open , even had an email confirming this but this was not the case - luckily for us someone in the office was able to call us to confirm the process that we had to take to collect the keys , just as well that we had a signal where we were on the time of the call !! “The pub is in a fabulous position, the room we had was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Where it fell down was at dinner. I was there with my wife for our 56th wedding anniversary and was hoping for an excellent experience but the service was poor, I had to go up to the bar and ask for a menu after waiting for some time. Again I had to ask for someone to take our order, my second drink was waiting on the bar and I had to retrieve it myself. When food eventually arrived (rack of ribs)...

“Good points :- Location, helpful staff, clean an & comfortable rooms and dining facilities, good food. Bad points :- Car park far too small - can be a real problem finding a space and parking. No lift to upper floors and therefore access challenging for some senior citizens and a no-go for the disabled.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this historic, well-equipped vacation apartment. The property had everything we needed. While the walk into Dartmouth was more than just a gentle stroll, it was a great way to work up an appetite for the town’s restaurants and cafes. “On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us.
