“Loved staying in the proprietor’s house! Beautiful and very clean! The bike shed was also nice to keep our bikes locked up. We didn’t care for the plastic pillow coverings on the bed because they were not very comfortable to sleep on. We would recommend Green Gables as a great place to stay!”

“Or hostess, Marg, was so friendly and helpful and made delicious breakfasts for us. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this lovely property during the early morning and evenings. We were visiting while biking the lovely root river trail in the area. It was nice to be able to store our bikes in the garage at the end of each day. Our accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the skylights were a bonus. We hope to visit again.”

“The hotel is in a small town not far from Decorah Iowa, and Lanesboro MN. I chose the hotel because of location to the local caves. Checkin experience was excellent. I had a nice room upgrade to a larger King room that had a kitchenette. I found the space to be very clean, although the hotel can use some updating. For a small town hotel, this was a good choice. There are a few attractions nearby, though not a lot.”
