Gorgeous rustic style small hotel with lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast Up in the hills so need a car but quiet and peaceful. Nice outdoor pool. Only 20 mins drive from old part of Las Palmas

This property was the GEM of our stay in the Canary Islands. We stayed at 5 properties during our 2 week trip, and this was my favorite. It is a bit off the beaten path, but that's what we loved about it. Clean, incredible staff, an amazing breakfast, clean quaint rooms, etc. Everything we had hoped and more. The pool was clean and crisp... amazing!

Ancienne bâtisse agréablement reconvertie en hôtel d’une dizaine de chambres. La salle de bain est correcte, avec des pommeaux de douche qui fonctionnent bien (rare), mais les joints des parois ont souffert du calcaire. La chambre (qui portent toutes un nom, la nôtre «Moscatel») est grande et revêtue d’un parquet bien entretenu. Très grand lit King Size. Les mouches et les enfants de l’école proche dorment la nuit. Dans un bâtiment à part se trouve la salle du petit déjeuner. Peu de choses, mais ce n’est qu’une impression, il y a de tout. Des gâteaux faits maison bien meilleurs que de la pâtisserie industrielle (qu’il y a aussi d’ailleurs). Pas encore de restaurant, les responsables cherchent un chef pour tenir le restaurant. Une salle annexe permet d’organiser des réceptions. Il y a une zone dans l'enceinte (fermée la nuit, mais on ouvre avec le passe de la chambre) pour garer la voiture. Intéressant : le réceptionniste nous a fourni un plan Google Maps pour un trajet de montagne qui va de l’hôtel jusqu’au sommet de la « Caldera de Bandama » en une heure ou moins. Superbes vues sur le trajet et sur la crête.

Lieu de rêve on se croirait dans une hacienda mexicaine. Personnel très sympathique et serviable, lieu calme bien situé au nord de l'ile, proche de Las Palmas et des sites intéressants à visiter ( Arucas, Teror, Tejeda, bandama...);

Wir waren zu unseren Flitterwochen hier, haben uns wohl gefühlt und konnten diverse Wandertouren entweder direkt vom Hotel oder nach einigen Fahrminuten in den Bergrn beginnen. Das Personal war zu jeder Zeit freundlich. Das Frühstück war überschaubar aber reichlich. Das Restaurant El Mondalon ist eine ganz hervorragende Empfehlung, wir haben dort fast täglich gegessen. Rundum, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt!

Hotel rústico con encanto.

No es la primera que me alojo, ni será la última. Encantador hotel situado en un entorno excepcional, rodeado de montaña y ajeno a ruidos y aglomeraciones. Las habitaciones son espaciosas, de estilo rústico, el desayuno muy completo, el personal muy amable y atento. El restaurante tambien está a la altura del conjunto. Me falto probar la psicina al no disponer de tiempo suficiente, a la próxima.

Good when the reception was open

It was disappointing that reception was closed when we arrived and service was minimal on our first day but when the reception opened the service was great! Friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and everything was very Covid secure. Good quiet location in the hills above Las Palmas (12 Euros for taxi into the city centre). They need to get rid of the his&hers pillows though! Not acceptable in 2020 to assume all of your clients are straight...

Beautiful Hotel run by Wonderful People

A beautiful property hosted by a wonderful staff. Agustin and Carlos especially were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel and experience on Gran Canaria was as enjoyable as possible. My only regret with Hotel Mondalón is that I could not stay longer. I will not look anywhere else when returning to Gran Canaria.

Short but comfortable stay

This was a quick stop, but should have stayed longer. The quality for the price was very good. It’s 10 minutes from the airport and not far from las Palmas. This would have been a great spot to see the whole island from with a rental. The restaurant had a small menu, but everything was delicious!

Väldigt mysigt och vackert i bergsmiljö

Litet hotel som ligger en liten bit från annan bebyggelse. Före frukosten, som var bra, gick jag en lång tur upp i bergen som ligger precis bredvid. Snäll och hjälpsam personal. De rummen som ligger på andra våningen är klart bättre, med en liten innegård i buddistisk stil med blommor och träd. Poolen som finns på området är inte uppvärmd vilket kan vara bra att tänka på under vissa månader. Bastun var trasig när vi var där, något som var trist eftersom det också kändes som att det var ett återkommande problem. Det finns ett litet träningsrum men det håller inte nån klass alls. Det som finns är en cykel och ett löåband, men grejerna är från förra seklet. Knappt att de gå att använda. Men om du inte tänkt att träna och vill ha det mysigt så är detta ställe jättefint! Soldäcket med poolen är härligt och det går ju att bada även om det är kallt i vattnet (det var kanske 16 grader i vattnet när vi var där i slutet av mars, men på sommaren är den ju uppvärmd av solen).

Rustige ligging

Aangename kamers, alles wat je nodig hebt. Altijd buiten kunnen ontbijten. Voldoende keuze koud en warm buffet. Van het restaurant hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt doordat we tijdens onze uitstappen met wandelingen de lokale restaurantjes uitprobeerden.
