Amazing view. Very nice accommodations. Convenient access to the Schilthorn Gondola. The only downside is that room 26 is directly below the restaurant, which was noisy because chairs slid on the floor until 10:30. Restaurant was convenient and had very good food. They let me order and take food to room because my spouse was ill. Overall, a great place to stay!

Liked "cabin"/ski-resort hotel feel. Not so much the 10 minute walk across murren to get to the train to get down to Lauterbrunnen. Comfy bed, but no heat. It was mid-September and we returned to the hotel cold and were told there was no heat for another week when Fall started! Nice restaurant deck. Breakfast and breakfast staff were great. Dinner and dinner staff were great.

The view, the view, the view from the private balcony. There is not a better one in the world. This has the feel of a natural, rustic ski lodge and the staff are amazing! Murren is the best place to stay in the Alps.

The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable. Nice hot shower too. The location is right next to the gondola station that you must take to get the town of Murren. We rode the gondolas to the top of Schilthorn Piz Gloria and visited the James Bond restaurant and got to do the Thrill Walk. In the evening we shopped at the local Coop and got food so we could sit on our balcony and eat while we enjoyed the views. 10/10 would stay again!!

This hotel is on one end of the several blocks long high mountain village of Murren. To get to the village from Lauterbrunnen it is most convenient to use the postbus and then the aerial cableway that continues on to the Piz Gloria. Travel one stop to Murren on this large safe aerial car. The Alpenrue hotel is next to the station. There. Is very little noise from the cableway and none at night. We had 3 excellent breakfasts; croissants, cheese, meat, coffee and juice. Wonderful ! We also had 2 dinners and and an Irish coffee on the public balcony overlooking the alps. The staff were helpful, spoke English and were attentive. The village grocery and many interesting shops were on the level and an easy walk from hotel. Our room was very recently renovated and looked brand new. It was spacious with a magnificent balcony overlooking the mountains. We had a wonderful time in Murren and the Alpenrue. PS. You do not have to be young and fit to enjoy this destination. Reserve today !!
