โWe were a group with 9 rooms, and I am very impressed to say that everyone had only good things to say about this establishment. It's a well maintained little gem, offering very good value in todayโs times.โ
โGet away for a party & did not want to drive home after. The hotel was close to venue & very comfortable. Have stayed here a few times in the pass. โ
โUnfortunately, I had to cancel my visit to Johannesburg due to a strange tourist visa requirement, thus missed my planned time there.
However, I am motivated to log this review simply because I am very impressed by the hotel communication. It was prompt, extremely polite and very understanding and supportive.

โAll was OK, especially the very good swimming pool and the really very nice well kept garden, thanks to the property's dedicated grounds keeper, but the kitchen needs to be restocked with more cooking wares and specially drinking glasses as there were none of these at all..โ
โRed Dot Lodge is not a guest house. I had to find alternative accommodation late at night for my daughter and we are Both very upset by the whole matter. Kindly provide me with a refund and remove the guest house from your web site.

โI arrived after midnight and found staff in pajamas sleeping. They had no clue about my reservation even though it was booked 2 weeks ahead of time. I had to find my booking confirmation and show credit card statement of payment. Then i was walked through a dark alley to what could be otherwise considered the "boys quaters". My taxi driver was so scared of leaving me all alone and stayed until i got into my room. It was an ok room, sofa , tv, bed,bathrom, kitchen. I could smell the dust even...
โFirstly, the address advertised as well as the photographs of the accomodation are and is not the address of the actual "hostel. " There is no transportation to the actual address on Jan Smuts rd where you find out that you will be staying UPON ARRIVAL..
The cleanliness of the rooms are at best disgusting. No toilet paper is the tip of the iceberg.
There are naked woman walking the halls with numerous "visitors" coming in and out. The owner\manager is impossible to get hold of.
Disgraceful....
