Great location near the Mendelssohn house and Grassi museums. Helpful staff and wonderful breakfast.

Greatest little Hotel in Leipzig

We only stayed two nights but were so impressed with the room, the location, and most important, the service. They were so helpful and friendly. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nice boutique hotel near city center

Great breakfast buffet. Not as extensive as large hotels but certainly more than adequate. The room was comfortable and the décor is cool, especially since it's near the University.

A wonderful character hotel close to attractions

I loved the idea of the Book Hotel. It's a wonderful character hotel with equally wonderful and friendly staff. I love the free coffee machine at the entrance and the rooms are beautifully done. The hotel is on the 'ring road' around the old city centre. So consider it centrally located and close to attractions. But then again Leipzig old town is relatively small and everything is in walkable distance. However the location's best thing is it's not immediately in the tourist centre so you get a bit of peace and quiet as well as be among a mostly local crowd too. Almost like being off the beaten track. The bed was slightly old and pillows have lost their fluff, but that's the only bad thing. Everything else is perfect. Thank you!

Modern hotel with very short walk to city centre

With a female friend I spent four nights here. We were surprised to find how very close it is to the main sights e.g. the Opera House is less than 5 minutes walk, the Mendelssohn House just 1 minute. The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel is clean, light, modern. The breakfasts were superb with a wide choice. Our twin-bedded room and shower room were very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. If you like reading - in German - the hotel is full of books! It was a nice surprise to find complimentary coffee available all day in the foyer, occasionally with pastries too. There are building sites nearby which meant early morning noise and we also had some noise from people on the street late at night, but may have just been unlucky as it is basically a quiet location. At no time did we feel vulnerable in Leipzig.

All is fine except there is no functional WiFi on the property and since, my trip is a business one I had no choice but to purchase extra roaming time. This is all unacceptable in this day and age. It was also very difficult let alone expensive to get the roaming extension set up. The second issue in this hotel is lack of dark curtains, I wake up with the first sunbeam and I feel exhausted.

Fantastic boutique hotel just outside the Center Ring Road. Convenient to all the city center amenities, as well as public transportation options. Staff are kind and helpful, and were patient with my limited German language skills. Breakfast buffet is well stocked. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and good sized. Get a balcony if one is available.
