DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Concord

DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Concord

10/10 Excellent
"When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the sweetest front desk host. We had no problems acquiring and arriving to our room. Everything was set up wonderfully, there were full sized body washes, conditioner, shampoo, and body wash available for use. The room and bathroom were perfectly cleaned. The lobby has a small market that has everything from qtips to Twix ice cream bars (very affordable). Definitely would recommend for any stay."

Fairfield Inn By Marriott Concord

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is conveniently located just off the highway. Our room faced the highway, but the traffic noise wasn't too bad. Every space we were in (room, hallways, lobby, breakfast area, public restroom) was clean and well-maintained. The room had a comfortable bed, and the air conditioner was easy to use and worked well. There were a decent number of storage areas-- the shelves directly opposite the sink area were quite convenient for storing toiletries. We could have used more outlets/charging ports right by the bed; my husband uses a CPAP machine, so he had to unplug the alarm clock (which has two USB ports) to plug in his machine. The toilet and shower stall are in a separate room, which was nice. The shower stall was well-designed and even had small shelves, which you don't always see. Our biggest complaint was the water pressure in the shower-- it was like using a watering can to shower. It ended up taking longer to shower because it took longer to rinse off the soap. (Not sure how that really saves water.) The breakfast buffet featured scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes two of the three days we visited it. There was also a pot of oatmeal, a waffle station, and the traditional cold breakfast items like pastries, fruit, and cold cereal. Other than the abysmal water pressure, it was a nice hotel, and we would stay here again."

"Everything was perfect! Ample parking, friendly and attentive staff, clean throughout, awesome breakfast offerings every morning. The pool and hot tub were very welcome amenities after an 8 hour drive! Aside from the hotel itself, everyone we met during our stay was pleasant and friendly! If I could give BWC more stars, I would!!"

8/10 Good
"First, the service was amazing. The afternoon/evening front desk gentlemen was extremely kind and helpful as we navigated an issue with the room we were originally given (that turned out to not be an issue so won’t bother mentioning). The rooms were slightly dated but clean and well maintained. The only downside of the room was the carpet - it wasn’t awful but was old and a bit musty. We are very sensitive to smells and allergens so others may not notice. That said it didn’t affect our allergies too much so it wasn’t that bad. Room comes with basic cooking equipment, plates and silverware. The room we got was a two bedroom but the queen bedroom doesn’t have a door that closes - it’s a separate room but is open to the living room/kitchen. This wasn’t an issue for us but worth noting for others. Beds were clean and looked new but weren’t the nicest mattresses. Same with the pillows. We did go to the indoor pools - it was pretty well maintained. They had locker rooms and a dry sauna but we didn’t use either. Continental breakfast was as you’d expect. Nothing hot was served but lots of options - including a whole gluten free section which you NEVER see at hotels and I great appreciated. The hotel was nice and the staff great but it definitely had “we were a reeeallly nice hotel before the pandemic and then we lost a lot of our extras” vibes. They used to have a spa, a bar, an outdoor pool and a restaurant but those are all gone. It was fine as is though."
