"Beautiful lobby. Clean rooms w/ windows that open onto interior courtyard or out to the street plaza depending on which room you get. Rooms are only by “request” not actual reservation. When we arrived expecting a double bed at 4pm, we had to take 2 single beds because they were out of double beds. This is as irritating and inconvenient for us, a couple who had traveled for about 10 hours to get there just to not be able to sleep in the same bed. Staff was enthusiastic about sharing recommendations in the area. VERY WALKABLE and vibrant part of the city. Steps to the train which is the end of the line and connects to basically anywhere in the city. Bikes available for rent all over. Major shopping mall and many other small stores and restaurants right outside the door. I recommend this place for location. Also seems to be pleasant and convenient for people with children. Felt very safe as well; a keycard is required at all times to get into the lobby. We didn’t take part in the breakfast but it smelled good. "

"It is a small quant little space but great location. Not a place if you are expecting large rooms. Stairs would challenge if motility issues, but a nice clean convent place to stay. Breakfast was superb for selection. Best I had traveling over a 3 week trip to Europe."

"It’s a small, clean, modern hotel very close to the Louvre and the Jardin des Toileries (great for morning run after it opens at 7!). The staff are fantastic and so helpful - reception, breakfast room and cleaning staff! If you want to stay in this area I highly recommend Hôtel Crayon Rouge. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for everything was the breakfast pastries were very good but the shop around the corner has better pastries and the absolute silence in the breakfast room made us feel uncomfortable. Perhaps a little morning music would create a more welcoming and relaxing breakfast environment. "

"The location of the hotel was perfect for travelling all around Paris. Very close to the metro. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of variety. I will definitely book at Hotel Crayon again."
