“For the first time in my life, I found out that check out was at 10 a.m. Everywhere I’ve ever stayed, it’s always been 11 a.m. Then I was woken up by a housekeeper banging on my door and yelling at me to leave because it was already 10. She kept saying I’d have to pay extra, in a really rude way, as if I couldn’t afford to pay for an extra hour if I wanted to. It wasn’t even what she said, it was how she said it. Zero hospitality.”

“The hotel was terrific. We went to enjoy USA 250th celebration and fireworks. We arrived and the hotel staff showed me a plaque where I had been designated guest of the day and they gave us a free bottle of nice wine and free valet parking. The room was clean and plenty of space. Our first night we went to the rooftop bar and ate light with a burger and beers. On the 4th we took a walk on the streets in the morning, very clean and safe.
