Air conditioning wasn’t working first day, and it was hot and humid. I asked it be fixed on first day; it was not. Requested again prior to 2nd night, again no fix. Finally, after my wife had already gone to bed, they offered to change rooms for us—- too late for comfort. They gave us a fan, which helped.
This suggests that staff are either poorly trained or don’t have sufficient management support.
Aside from this, as others have noted, pretty basic arrangement. No tissues, room layout not great. We have stayed in much better hotels in Peru in same category.
