The staff were prompt, friendly, and accommodating. Elias was very helpful in particular in accommodating my early morning arrival. The hotel is clean and secure, and the breakfast was very good. It is a historical building, so it has a lot of character. It is not the "fanciest" hotel, but it is well managed and excellent value. The Barranco neighbourhood is probably the best area in Lima to stay. It is the arts district with plenty of local restaurants, pubs, cafes, art galleries, etc.

It is walkable to the bus station and there are places to eat nearby. My only issue was with the water pressure, very weak. You also have to shate bathroom and showers. Otherwise, it was pretty clean and good breakfast.

I think it is really unprofessional to let someone know after they paid that they will have to switch rooms the next day because the hotel wants to put a group of 4 in the room I'm checking into. Don't shuffle your guests around like dogs, tell them before they book that there will be a room change, and if you cannot complete the booking as it was advertised then you need to refund your customers.
