“No frills budget room with a bed and a clean bathroom in a 150 year old quirky little mansion. The "breakfast served daily" note in this Expedia listing is to be interpreted as served downtown in the restaurant of your choice (and paid for by you) LOL. The vibe here is memorable and the history is fascinating. We loved our stay.”

“The part that stood out was the location. The house was nestled in a grove of trees loaded with native birds. Lots of cockatoos greeted us every morning and evening! ”

“We had a wonderful two night stay at hotel california. We were late to check in, however was seamless for us after hours to speak to staff and get the run down, checked into the room just as the sun was setting over the vineyards. A stunning place to stay, easily located with everything you need within 10 min drive. We hired bikes from SA E Bikes and got them dropped to the property, we rode around the local wineries all day and ended our day back here to do a tasting. ”

“ Overall, the property was excellent but was let down by the lack of TV reception. Given that our visit was for the Gather Round Football, our plan was to watch many of the games on TV. However, that was not possible because of there being no satellite connection because of the cloud cover. It was a major disappointment and as a result we had very little leisure time at the property. The property is advertised as family accommodation, so the TV coverage issues need to be rectified.”
