Old style hotel with historic architecture, one block from the waterfront. Staff were all excellent and on point. The building is from a bygone era, so entries, stairwell, and lighting are not the most modern, particularly if you are expecting a Marriott or Hilton with a Starbucks in the lobby. Great service, outdoor area, restaurant, and clean.
Was a lovely hotel. Great room and good amenities.

A beautiful hotel in the center of the city. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. We loved the breakfast and could not be happier with our stay.
The room was beautiful, staff couldn't do enough for you, breakfast was delicious and food was excellent, varied options. Little shop nearby for anything from fruit to stamps to suncream
This was our third time at Palacio Ramalhete. As before, we were very nicely greeted into this beautiful and historical building. Everything there is refined and about quiet luxury. Breakfast is excellent and offers a large variety of options. The neighborhood is quiet, but it is central and offers easy access to all there is to see and do in Lisbon. I would definitely recommend to people who want a historical experience, refinement and comfort.
Beautifully restored old Palace with 3 outside terraces to relax at & a pool. Staff is exceptionally accommodating & friendly. Stairs, no elevator. Will definitely return, a great find in Lisbon.
This property was superb, the staff so helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was quirky and decorated with taste. There was so much choice for breakfast. The pool area was relaxing after a day out in Lisbon. I would recommend this hotel, 5 star
Charming hotel with a traditional Portuguese vibe but with a twist. The hotel and service were all very nice, unfortunately the pool was under renovation when I was there and it wasn’t stated anywhere. Very nice breakfast menu.

I had a fantastic stay at Palacio Ramalhete! The service was personal and attentive from start to finish, and the staff truly went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Breakfast was one of the highlights – generous, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients.
The rooms were spacious, stylish, and impeccably cleaned every day. You can really tell that the hotel pays great attention to detail and comfort. The outdoor areas were also lovely, with beautiful terraces and an inviting pool area that provided the perfect setting for relaxing.
All in all, a hotel that delivers on every level. I would be more than happy to return and highly recommend Palacio Ramalhete!
Be aware that this hotel looks fine in the main areas but the rooms are a completely different story. Despite requesting a room on a lower floor, we were put in the top floor with an extremely steep staircase & no staff available to assist with bags when we checked out. The beds were uncomfortable & the bathroom was a hazard. There was an absurdly designed step up into the shower & toilet with slippery tile. The locks on the door are difficult to use & half the time, we basically had to go all the way back downstairs to get someone to open our door. For the price this hotel charges, find a better property. The staff were nice but that doesn’t make the place a good enough experience for the expense.
Great stay! We chose the Raphaël hotel for our honeymoon, it was really the perfect choice. The place is very romantic. The courtyards with plants and flowers are beautiful. The building has a lot of character. The staff is exceptional. Also the location is perfect! This is our favorite neighborhood in Lisbon. We will keep a great memory of our honeymoon. Thank you so much!

Our stay at the Palacio Ramalhete was an exceptional experience and in many ways exceeded our expectations. The reception was welcoming and highly efficient even going as far as carrying our suitcases up the stairs to our room. The breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful and magnificently decorated dining room. Most of all, the staff without exception (Suman, Subash, Saddam, Jessica & Isabella) could not be more accommodating adding their own personal touch to make our stay at the Palacio Ramalhete particularly memorable. Thank you to everyone at the Palacio Ramalhete for an outstanding stay.
Absolutely beautiful old property. Impeccably decorated. Welcoming staff and excellent included breakfast. Beautiful cozy courtyards for afternoon ore late night cocktails. Small refreshing pool, no shallow end. No elevator and lots of stairs. Only suggestion might be hairdryer in bathroom and a no- slip bathmat or hand rail in bathtub/ shower.

Not a 5-star hotel as advartised. Nice staff and excellent Breakfast. Hard beds without any possibility to get additional madrasses. Cold pool with few sun-beds. No
The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially when we had to buy train tickets on line and putting useful apps on our mobile. Breakfast was a real treat and totally delicious.
The hotel was slightly out from the Centre but there were buses which stopped outside. A train and trams about 6 minutes walk and the metro was a short tram journey.
We discovered Umbers were the best form of transport and very reasonable
What an amazing place to stay!! I was looking for a hotel near the waterfront before we went on a cruise. The staff was so welcoming, the hotel had such a lovely old world charm to it. We try to avoid stayiing in chains when we travel, this was a gem!
We were able to walk to different areas of the city, felt like we were staying in a local neighborhood, not in a tourist area. We had many choices for restaurants in the area, had a great meal looking out at the river at Le Chat, fabulous view of the Christ statue across the way.
We felt safe and secure, our room was very comfortable and the included breakfast (which was a surprise) was wonderful.
We would definitely recommend a stay here if you want to fell like a local!! Be aware, you must be able to climb stairs to the interior of the hotel, we had help with our bags which was helpful.
