Our studio door is directly on the street, not behind the gates pictured. The main bed is IN the loft(low ceiling). While I loved the coziness, there are no windows in loft. The stairs to loft are sturdy but open. One railing along wall was also sturdy. Loft railing was loose. ( we never requested repair)But open stairs can be problematic for some. The shower entrance is quite narrow. On the positive side: very clean, well equipped kitchen, tile floors, clothes steamer and hairdryer provided. Supermarket a short walk away. Many restaurants to walk to.

This was a fantastic property. Not only did it meet expectations, but it felt like a safe place to get back to each night and was in walking distance distance to some great spots. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a comfortable and easy stay. I will definitely be back!

Villa Rodrigues (Lar Laurinda) is a modern, clean, and spacious apartment with great storage, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms—ideal for a family of 4. It had everything you needed for your stay, a very well equipped kitchen, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle, plenty of glasses, plates and cutlery. There's also a heated towel rail to help 'speed dry' any clothes you have washed. There are no coffee pods but instead a bag of real ground coffee and machine is supplied which was excellent. The villa feels relaxing and calm after being out in the city. Tucked behind secure gates, it feels like a quiet oasis. It is a 20-minute walk to central Lisbon, with a Metro station and grocery stores nearby. However, note that the surrounding area is hilly. Communication from the host was lacking. We arrived at the 15:00 check-in time without entry details, only to find the apartment wasn't ready. After waiting over an hour in the heat with our luggage and making several follow-up calls, we finally got in at 16:32. The host also omitted the main gate code, so we had to rely on a neighbor for entry. On a positive note, the host compensated for the delay by extending our check-out from 11:00 to 15:00. We recommend the apartment for its comfort and facilities, as long as you are comfortable navigating the hilly terrain, walking past a unsafe area, and dealing with a host with poor communication.

Our room was modern, spacious and lovely. Kitchen had sufficient but minimal supplies. I really appreciated the initial supply of wine and water but could have used a blanket for curling up on the couch. Good location. walkable to good restaurants, the main tourist areas and 5 min to subway. Location is a little off the main square, up a big stairway where we did see some sad sites (homeless). Secure gated community was comforting. I would definitely recommend.
