“The room was comfortable, however the smell from the bathroom was very bad. The staff attended to this promptly by cleaning the drain and offered us another room.
All staff were very friendly and helpful in providing local information regarding our travel plans.”

“Hanlon Guest House is lovely. Stayed for two nights, and location is beautiful. We walked to cafes and restaurants and to the chairlift. Also penguins viewing platform is only metres away. The housekeeping staff are warm and friendly as well. Parking at front of property is so easy, as was checking in process.”Catherine

“Greeted on our arrival by the lovely hosts Rebecca and Shaun. Rooms were amassing. We were in the Belvedere Room - it was presented beautifully! Spacious, lovely view out to the bay, luxurious touches, fantastic shower, comfortable bed and delicious hot breakfast prepared for us. Walking distance to restaurants, penguins and shops. “I stayed in the Ocean View Spa Room. It was very clean and exactly meet my needs for my short stay in Stanley. It was a quite period so not many people in the park. It was warm and cozy and the spa warmed me to my bones. The views of the ocean out the windows was great although a little hampered by the bushes opposite which i am guessing provides some privacy as there is a public pathway along the breakwall and it may serve as a small wind break. “The property has the most wonderful views from its elevated position. The driveway is steep - but worth it. Imagine beautiful sunsets in front of a roaring fire on the deck in autumn - that’s what we got. (Not sure if the owners arranged the sunsets, but the fire & indoor wood burner were ready to light.)
Kitchen was stocked with choice of cereals plus milk & juice for breakfast plus other nice touches. There were many appliances & cookware options and a BBQ to boot.

“First impression needs to be improved (weeds in front yard, rot on posts, pealing paint). Home has a lot of charm but furnishings could be updated. Would be a good space for family who don't mind an outdated feel.”
