“The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience....

“Unique property outside of Inverness. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were clean and updated. The history of the property is very interesting. We loved the pub on site and went each night for a drink. We preferred the pub food to the dining room food as we prefer more basic, pub type fare. Would definitely stay again if we travel to the area. ”

“The amenities were lovely. They kept real milk chilled in the fridge for your tea or coffee which was such a nice touch. The food was unbelievable as were the drinks. The ambiance was as about as Scottish as you could imagine which is what you want when you're traveling abroad. Can't say enough great things about this place. ”
