When we arrived the entire place, with the exception of a few rooms in the back, were completely under construction. From the front of the hotel, it looked abandoned. No one from the hotel let us know, gave us a heads up, that that’s what we would be arriving to. It looked like a war zone and we had to drive all the way around the back. On the plus side, the room was very nice and clean. The front desk staff is very friendly. The pool was completely empty and unusable. Had I known this I wouldn’t have booked and I think that’s why we were not told.

Hotel was under repair. The Expedia website said nothing about this. The entrance was far away because of the construction. Not safe for a woman by herself to try and check in. The grounds were unsafe and it was very scary late night checking in. The hotel accommodated me by allowing me to check out and cancel my stay at no charge.

Mixed bag The property is undergoing renovation and is slated to be rebranded as a Hyatt Regency property later in 2026 The room was very comfortable. In particular, the beds and linens were outstanding. We had booked a property that ported to have food and drinks available, but when we arrived at 9:45 PM, everything was closed, with not even a gift shop.
