Upon arrival, my husband ran in to check us in and came back to the car to let me know they needed my ID. Walking in myself, I notice a funky smell in the waiting area. I walked up to the desk and the woman there looked at me, no greeting and didn’t say a word, but I proceeded to hand her my ID and then she asked my my credit card. She handed us our room key, but didn’t even tell us anything about the hotel or where our room was. After figuring it out ourselves, we get upstairs and on the hallway wall, there are spill stains. The room seemed fine, but we found a hair clip on the floor by the bed, so clearly they don’t clean thoroughly. Breakfast was okay, but didn’t have any eggs, meat, and the cereal was stale. Another time we were in the waiting area and a guy was on his phone when we approached asking for towels. We were going to be staying there again for the trip back to our house, but we were going to be late for check in, so we wanted to call early to let them know. After multiple calls over the span of a few hours, no one answered. We went ahead with just skipping staying there altogether and beelining it home. Mind you, it was another 5 hours back to our place and I would have rather done that then stay there again. I don’t understand the good reviews either. My standards are reasonable but I expected much better.
