“Great Property”

“The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional and helped every day. They made me special vegetarian options on request, and let me help myself to other foods. The furnishings are top notch. There is lots of shared space around the place, and the only distractions are the noisy birds in the morning! Amazing hotel. If I could want for one thing, it would be...

“The information about distance to city center was absolutely false, it is NOT 3km to town but 18km. And the pictures of the room I booked for that price wasn’t accurate, I was initially placed in a dorm despite booking a single bed room.”

“It has a nice gym, is also very peaceful and quiet, and the food in the restaurant can take a while but is very good. I don't think the photo of the snacks is accurate - there weren't any while I was there, but the made-to-order food and breakfasts were excellent.”

“I was working pretty intensively in Lilongwe and I needed a weekend break to wind down. Eden was the perfect spot and barely 20 minutes drive from town. My quiet, restful and beautifully appointed studio had its own mini kitchen and separate bedroom upstairs, so it was more like a small house. And the onsite bar and restaurant and extensive grounds were a delight. I will definitely return.”

“I have been to a lot of hotels in Lilongwe over the years and this is hands down the best. Located in a quiet 600 hectares park with its own gamereseve, but only 15 mins from anywhere downtown, it’s a quiet, beautiful, reliable place. There is a vey nice garden with paths, a castle (!), a great restaurant and a beautiful swimming pool. The bungalow/rooms are spacious and have a feel of authenticity. This is the place to go ”
