I really enjoyed the remote location away from town. The check in and out process was easy and staff was helpful in arranging getting bags to and from the docks. I also enjoyed walking over to the neighboring property- The Inn at Stonecliffe. They have beautiful outdoor spaces to relax and soak in the peaceful views.

Great room, beautiful view of the lake and bridge. Cozy, quiet place towards the back side of the island, but easy enough to get to via bike. Carriage taxis can make it out there easily, too. Room was hot during the day but cools off in the evening with a nice lake breeze. No big deal, as we aren’t there to hang in our room during the day

The property is about 2 miles west of the dock up in the hills. The property was gorgeous and had a lot to do. There was corn hole, large connect 4, firepits, soccer, apple orchard, and a grotto. We didn’t use the shuttle, but it was nice to have it available. The room was another story. It was adequate mainly because the pull out couch was not useable. The mattress was so thin and the end was broken. Loved having a fridge and microwave. Overall, nice place to stay with a good view.

Staff were easy to reach and knowledgeable. Rooms were on the other side of the island near woods restaurant which was a lovely reprieve from the bustle of downtown. We had a really great experience.

Great stay overall! Right next to the Stonecliffe which was nice to go to for breakfast. A couple things I wish I had known was how far from the downtown area it is, about a 45 min carriage ride to get down there. Also, the rooms do not have AC, however, if you keep the doors open, it cools down significantly at night and they do provide fans. Overall great stay for the budget however, we probably spent more on travel back and forth.

Overall , an ok place. There was noise from adjoining units but a box fan provided managed to blank it out. Staff was very helpful via phone. It is worth some extra planning time to coordinate the shuttle schedule with arrival at the ferry dock. We ended up walking to the condo rather than wait for the shuttle ( our arrival time just missed the shuttle pick up time). Much better option for us would have been to adjust our arrival time and catch the shuttle. Dining options near the condo are very limited, so bring some snacks, etc. (as recommended by the condo staff).

The condo is pretty far from the city. We brought bikes which made getting around easy. It was fun to explore another part of the island this trip. The condo we stayed in was small. The bed was in the living room space. There was a well equipped kitchen. Overall it was a good stay.

These are decent properties for a budget stay on Mackinac Island, but they are definitely in need of maintenance. From the front they look fine, but go out on the back deck/balcony and you start to see how properly maintaining and island property is rather difficult. As far as staff goes, if you can reach them on the phone, they're helpful. Otherwise we only interacted with the luggage porters and for a decent tip they delivered our luggage to our condo. The shuttle schedule was a bit odd given that we had to checkout by 10am, but there were only 9am and 11am shuttles. As far as amenities go, the loft condo with sleeper sofa was sufficient for our needs.

The photo of the condo was very deceiving. It was difficult to see the space. It also had a sleeper sofa. We arrived & there was no sofa but a day bed with trundle. The day bed was comfortable. Better than a sleep sofa would have been. But the space between the bed & the day bed was about 18”. Difficult to navigate for anyone. There was also no space to lay luggage therefore we had to put the suitcase on the bed get out necessary items then close it up. There was really no space on the floor to lay luggage therefore we used 1 suitcase as a bedside table! The area was very quiet & peaceful. That was a plus. It was about 2miles from Main Street which I thought that’s not a problem but horse taxis are very slow.

The fans were a great help during the heat, especially at night with the sliding door open. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The shower curtain did not extend the width of the tub, so water ended up on the floor during showers. The outside of the sink had a significant amount of mildew in the grout, and the grout was peeling. Otherwise, our stay was very nice.

The condo location and cleanliness were outstanding! There were very few pots and pans for cooking so if you are staying longer than a few days this can become problematic. The cost for the stay was beyond reasonable for the island. We hope we can get the condo again in the future.

Beautiful peaceful on other side of island beside Stone Cliff resort. Could not fully see lake from room but could see through trees and beautiful sunsets and sunrise! Loved having the small kitchen. Just enough for us. We had a large deck that was great for coffee in the morning and reading. One of my favorite things was taking the horse taxi back and forth every morning and evening. So relaxing and got to so much just that way. We preferred the taxi instead of shuttle because shuttle was only certain time and crowded. It was about the same cost.

A bit run down but a quaint little room with a balcony. View of bridge was blocked by another house but good view of the lake. The closest food was at the Stone Cliff $$$ with a tiny "general store" ie: paid $4 for a yogurt! Very limited options. It was 1.8 miles from the main city streets and we were not aware we could get a shuttle. Very secluded and quiet. Suggest you bring your own groceries/snacks!

We stayed one night. Our room was old but very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and there were extra towels. The only issue was the TV volume was messed up and would go from quiet to loud and couldn’t be adjusted. It would be nice to have several bottles of water for guests since it’s so out of the way. I suggest that you bring food and drinks with you. We did end up going to the general store at the neighbor property Inn at Stonecliffe to buy water. They have a few grab and go items. There is a very nice Woods restaurant and Bobby’s Bar that you can eat at that’s a short walk. You will want to bring something dressier to wear there to dine but we just went in the bar and ordered to go. We had a nice stay at Sunset Condos.
