โEnjoyed a 2 nite stay here while attending CATF theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Enjoyed the outdoor hottub after biking on C&O Canal towpath, and fantastic country breakfasts. Views to the west over Antietam battlefields are spectacular! Hosts couldnโt have been more welcoming, including the talking parrot! โ
โWas exactly what I needed for a solo bday trip to the area. Minimal, friendly, clean. Didnโt mind that itโs obvious the place has been there a while. The parking lot has a huge pothole, which isnโt great. Just drive around it and be grateful for the great price and nature at your doorstep.โ
โMy stay was great, the only problem I had was the bathroom was not the cleanest but I was only staying for one night so it worked fine for me. Then the people that were staying below me were outside very late and talking very loud so that kept me up a little bit but that isnโt the motels fault or the employeeโs fault.โ
โEverybody there was so kind the only two bad thing was dust on curtain rail and previous guys body hair in the bath room. But those are nothing my wife and I love this place so much and I am pretty sure we will stay again โ
โStayed at the Light Horse Inn for two nights. Absolutely loved it. You have to manage expectations because this isn't an ultra modern hotel with a restaurant, bar workout facilities, etc. However if you love history, antiques and the charm of a very unique stay, Light Horse Inn is for you.
