Our room was so much greater than we could have imagined. The rest of the property was lovely and on days we needed a break from all of the site seeing we had such a relaxing day at the pool. I also loved the use of their app which made requesting anything from an ironing beard to a late night bottle of wine so simple and easy. I would be so happy to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel complex with everything you need! The pool areas are very nice and also the access to the ocean. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay so much - just like our dog :-) We would definitely come back!

Really lovely hotel, conveniently located for an easy walk into the centre of Funchal. Staff were all very lovely. My only negative point was that unknown to us, we arrived when the carnival was on, and had difficulty both finding and the accessing the hotel due to road closures. After a long day of travelling and trying to navigate the roads at night in a hire car, we went round in circles trying to reach our hotel. After trying to phone the hotel for advice, no one answered our call. Eventually we managed to find a blocked road, that said access only and got to it. Answering the phone or an email to explain how to get there on carnival night might have saved a lot of first night stress. Overall though, we had a lovely stay, and reception even rang down to the kitchen to ask if we could get a meal late at night on arrival day. We would definitely stay there again.

Dieses Hotel kann man eindeutig nur empfehlen. Für mich hat es eine super Lage direkt an der Küste, nah am Hafen und damit ist auch das Zentrum von Funchal per pedes schnell erreicht. Es bietet zudem eigene Parkmöglichkeiten (kostenpflichtig) und eine gute Anbindung um einfach und schnell mit dem Mietwagen die weiteren schönen Orte der Insel ansteuern zu können. Das Zimmer mit Ocean View spricht für sich. Das Frühstück bot eine gute Auswahl. Zudem wurden auch Sonderwünsche freundlich und direkt erfüllt. Ich werde definitiv wieder hier buchen, wenn ich auf Madeira bin.

Next yrittäämolla nuorekas, mainosvideossa hypätään sänkyyn ja kurvikas nainen suihkussa (kylppärin seinät näkyvät läpi). Pyysin yläkerros, jälleen kerran kerros oli alhaalla krs 2. Tarjoilijoilla oli työasuna pieni farkkuessu, sen alla mitä lie kuten farkkushortsit, joita piti nostaa koko ajan. Ei tuntunut kivalta . Pyydetty 2 vuodetta. Oli pedattu yhteen. Nopeasti kyllä petasivat erikseen. Mielestäni kaksi erillistä vuodetta, ei ole 2 erillistä sänkyä, kun on yhteinen pääty ja vuoteet kiinni toisissaan. Ihan sama, kun matkustan mieheni kanssa, mut ystävän kanssa matkatessa aina luullaan naispariksi. Siksi tässäkin hotellissa vetettiin sängyt erilleen ja väliin yöpöydät.

Enjoyable stay.
The hotel is very good overall. The 'space age' theme is a little strange - particularly the graphics in the lifts and the bedrooms are minimalist up to the point of ‘operating theatre chic’ - too basic for a 4* hotel. No enclosed wardrobes. The room lights are overcomplicated with one part of an unlabelled bedside double switch turning on the bedside reading light on - the other turning all the lights off! Not good if your partner is in the bathroom. The room we had wasn't classed as sea view but we did have a rather lovely sea view over an old church (room 520). The rooms have a kettle but no tea or coffee - a bit stingy at this price point. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice of cooked items and fresh fruits, yoghurts etc. All very clean and well-tended by the cooks. The breakfast room however is very dark and dingy when it's cloudy outside. The rooftop pool and the seaside pools are beautiful although the latter does have a mosquito problem at dusk.

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen! Das Frühstück war fantastisch und die Nähe zum Meer und zur Stadt (Funchal). Alles war gut zu erreichen und die Pools sowohl am Meer als auch auf dem Dach waren schön und man konnte dort sehr gut seine Zeit verbringen. Störend war leider nur die Beleuchtung auf dem Balkon, die man selbst nicht ausschalten konnte und die Straßenarbeiten, die die ganze Woche tagsüber stattfanden. Unser nächster Aufenthalt wird dort bestimmt wieder stattfinden. Danke

I could not fault our stay! The staff are attentive and friendly, the rooms and views are lovely, and the facilities are superb. We will 100% be visiting again… especially the rooftop bar 😍

Nicht den Preis für 4 Sterne wert!
Insgesamt ist das Hotel ok, was Design und Austattung und auch größe der Zimmer betrifft. Allerdings ist der Service einfach nicht auf 4 Sterne Niveau (gerade als Part of Savoy!) und für den Preis gibt es zahlreiche andere Hotels auf der Insel die sicher einen besseren Service bieten. Bei der Ankunft herrschte vor dem Hotel eine sehr laute Baustelle. Anstatt beim Checkin bzw. vor der Anreise darauf einzugehen, wurde es einfach nicht angesprochen und somit konnte man den extra bezahlten Ocean View eigentlich nie richtig genießen. Ein kleiner Getränkegutschein wäre das mindeste gewesen. Trotz bitte um ein ruhiges Zimmer, bekamen wir ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür - da alles ausgebucht! Das Frühstücksbuffet ist jeden Tag gleich und für 4 Sterne zu simple… Säfte sind nicht frisch gepresst und der Kaffee aus der Maschine. Es fehlen Salate, Fisch, mehr Auswahl beim Müsli, einfach Kreativität. Häufig stehen leere Teller auf den Tischen und auch das Buffet wird nicht zügig nachbestückt. Am großen Pool gibt es keinen Barservice an den Liegen obwohl die Mitarbeiter der Bar nichts zu tun haben. Der Poolboy ist unfreundlich. Beim Check-out waren die einzigen Worte „I need your credit card for the expenses“ und das wars. Nicht von den Instagram Fotos blenden lassen, es sieht toll aus aber wirklich willkommen fühlt msn sich nicht. Definitiv kein Weiterempfejlunf.

Although on the whole the stay was good our Room was really warm on a night it appeared the Climate Control wasn’t working and my friends said the same about their rooms also this needs dealing with and the Complimentary Water in the Room was not replenished during the stay also there were no Tea or Coffee in the rooms just needs a bit more attention to detail and finally although Mosquitos are not the Hotels fault around the restaurant Bar area there were clouds of them and we all got a lot of bites so maybe they could spray something to keep them down around that area I’ve been abroad for many many years on holiday and I’ve never ever been bitten like that

Highly recommend!
Had a great stay at the next! The room itself is very spacious and clean and the bed is super comfortable (like sleeping on a cloud). The location is also very convenient: a quiet street, but only a 10min walk away from the old town

A great stay, thank you. If there was a recommendation it would be to find a way to turn around washing faster, on business 24-48 hours is too long an ask.
