We had a lovely stay here - very relaxing after downtown Chiang Mai. I had thought it would be even more remote but it is surrounded by the paddy fields and sunsets are beautiful. There is only one place to eat on the property and home cooked meals take time, but for anything else you need to take a Grab, Gorgeous swimming pool, and lovely setting

Fantastic

Really enjoyed my stay here. Peter, Ying and their small team are lovely people that made me feel very welcome. The food was excellent, the room was clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable, the bike I hired was retro and perfect for a ride around the rice fields and to pop into Mae Rim. Definitely recommend and hope that I get an opportunity to revisit in the future.

Truly makes you feel at home

To begin, Peter and Ying are marvelous, not just their hospitality but are just two wonderful people. They make you feel right at home, and that's not only because the homemade food there has been some of the best food I have had in Thailand but also the freshest. The whole property is something that can only be experienced in person, from their beautiful villas, bountiful gardens and surrounding rice fields, to their pet animals roaming freel, refreshing salt water pool, and a feeling of true relaxation in the every breath of fresh air. I could go on and on, but as I mentioned it's only something you can experience first hand to really understand how special this place is. So special we ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much (and would have stayed longer had it not been the end of our trip...). We know exactly where we will be staying (and this time for at least a week) on our next holiday to Thailand.

pavillon avec terrasse très bonne literie frigo bouilloire sur demande wifi parfois faible Petite piscine bien agréable situé dans une jolie campagne à environ 30km de chiang maï au calme jolies balades à faire aux alentours Pas évident de s'y rendre si on a pas de véhicule mais sur demande et moyennant finances pete le propriétaire viens vous chercher . sur place location de scooter velos et voiture restaurant sur place où yin la femme de pete sert une très bonne cuisine locale ... Très bon acceuil propriétaires et staff super sympas ... le moins : pas vraiment de choix pour le pdj inclus sauf en payant des suppléments Je recommande vivement

A haven that you do not want to leave!

If you wish that you can wake up to a glorious day, day after day, birds singing, surounded by trees, flowers and lushous green rice fields, eat extraordinary food, visit amazing sites during the day, come back to wade in the pool, enjoy a good massage and retire listening to the chant of crickets and frogs and sleep like a baby.....Country Retreat will grant all your wishes. It has been writen by others I know but truly, Peter and Ying have succeeded in offering their guests a little slice of heaven.

Secret paradise with the best service ever!

We had a lovely time at Country Retreat. The location is so calm and picturesque settled within the beautiful rice fields. The hotel's facilities are wonderfully placed inside the local surrounding and are all nice and very well maintained. The salt water pool is perfect for a sunset chill out. Most mentionable though are the 2 hosts, Pete and Jing who made our time just amazing! Both offer the very best service ever experienced with a true "feel at home" experience. Jing's home cooked food is the best Thai ever had and she makes it all with fresh ingredients from their garden or from the local markets! Next time, we will definitely take a cooking class with Jing! Thanks sooo much for lovely 3 days. We will be back soon!

Wonderful Stay!

This place is fantastic! The owners (Peter and Ing) are incredibly welcoming and will help with anything during your stay. The retreat is only a few bungalows which really adds to the relaxing factor. We also met lots of lovely people during our stay. If we ever find ourselves in the Chiang Mai area again we will most certainly be back! Highly recommended.
