Very comfortable room (the ones with a balcony in the range 31-36 ish). Warm (it was end Nov), attractive, carpeted (always a bonus), beautiful sunrise view. We’ve tried all room types over 20 years at Val Moret but this is our favourite so far (already booked for next 3 visits). Reception lady was very helpful and attentive. This is a really good travelling stopover choice. The restaurant is consistently very good. Menu choices are seasonally varied and of a high standard. Presentation is excellent, flavours well balanced and varied. Desserts are always amazing. The waiting staff are professional and attentive. This restaurant punches well above its weight. Always have Champagne with your meal.

Super stay with sensational food!

A one night stay on our way down to southern France had us wishing we'd booked for two nights! Excellent value room, really well appointed, but the star turn was the restaurant, which served up a series of wonderful dishes that we all savoured. Will be back!

This hotel is very well located, just off the motorway for those driving through France, but set amongst fields so very quiet and safe. The rooms are very clean, there is lots of parking and although I could not have dinner there as we arrived too late, I have heard from family that the food is great. I can vouch for the tasty breakfast however. Will definitely visit again !

Le Val Moret is in an ideal location for a stopover and it was convenient to be able to park our car adjacent to the bedroom block. The room was comfortable, functional and, importantly, very clean. The cuisine at the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed a high quality dinner and a good breakfast to send us on our way.

Some rooms are of a motel type in blocks around the main building. Ours was compact but had everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay. Staff were very professional attentive and friendly. Loved having a glass of champagne on the terrace.

Great stopover for travelling through France. Accommodation is comfortable, spa is lovely, food is FANTASTIC. No chairs or table for our room’s outside terrace. Paper cups on rooms and only one small bottle of water in the fridge but other than that excellent.

Reception and restaurant staff were excellent.m Friendly and attentive. The Spa massage was highly relaxing after a day of driving. The room was spotless with double doors opening onto the front lawn with a narrow patio where we enjoyed a breakfast coffee. The car parking was plentiful. Although the hotel is in the countryside CCTV surveillance would be good to have if only to make guests feel secure.

A delight to return to soon!

A super location around 4 hours drive from Calais and an ideal stop over for a longer journey towards the southern regions of France. The room was clean and warm and very quiet with regard to rooms either side and the road on which the hotel stands. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Dinner was amazing, original and full of local products and beautifully presented (personally I would prefer a greater range of non alcoholic drink options, though I know this is a challenging request for a stay between Champagne and Burgundy). We would love to return and have a slightly longer stay to explore the area and benefit from the pool and spa facilities!

A Gem!

We (retired Brit couple) have stayed at Val Moret many times over 20 years or so. Dinner at the restaurant is always a highlight and the most recently acquired chef has increased the already delicious standards. Rooms are clean and comfortable, all one needs for a night’s journey stopover. (I suspect few people book a week’s holiday here but a few nights would be entirely reasonable). During 2025 there are building works progressing toward enlargement of the restaurant and reception. The work isn’t at all disruptive or intrusive, particularly for rooms further away. If the end result enhances the bar area that will be a great improvement, as the existing bar facilities are about the only thing that let the place down currently. We haven’t used the spa but it looks good. Finally, credit must be given to famille Marisy (and particularly to Mme, who apparently never sleeps) who work tirelessly for the comfort of their guests. It’s really good to see a family business thriving in this ever increasingly conglomerate dominated industry.
