"Great location in Hivernage district, safe for walking, restaurants and nightlife nearby. Beautiful classic Moroccan palace style, lush gardens, luxury hotel feel. Multiple outdoor pools but unfortunately only one pool available to us was heated - the main pool was very cold and virtually unuseable. Breakfast was good with plenty of options but don’t expect traditional English cooked breakfast. Lovely staff, all helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, comfortable, good balcony with view over pool and gardens. Shower water a bit smelly. Fortunately we had the quiet side of the hotel so the late night noise from Nobu rooftop music did not bother us in our room. The Orangerie and So Lounge restaurants were superb with good entertainment. All in all a great stay and we would definitely go back."

"Wonderful stay at Free People Riad & Spa. The riad is beautiful, elegant, and full of character, while still feeling intimate and cosy. The staff were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, always happy to assist with taxis or anything else we needed. It is tucked away in a quiet alley at the top of the medina, but still just a short walk to the markets and main square. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh."

"My wife and I recently spent 7 nights (March 22 - 29, 2026) at this riad and were extremely happy with our stay. We contacted the riad prior to our arrival to arrange an airport pick up. They arranged a driver who met us directly upon our arrival and drove us to the Medina. As the streets near the riad are narrow and difficult for vans/cars to pass, the riad arranged for our driver to bring us as close as he could and then a staff person from La Villa Nomade met us and walked us back to the riad - a very short 5 minute walk. We were greeted by the desk attendant and shown to the courtyard where we had mint tea and pastries while our check in paperwork was processed. We were shown to our room - it was amazing. We had opted for a suite and were very happy with our accommodation. The room was large, airy, bright and clean. There was a king size bed, separate seating area and a large, well designed bathroom. The room was located directly off a beautiful courtyard complete with water fountains and amazing floral elements. The roof top lounge area provided a welcome respite after long afternoons spent shopping in the souks or on day trips to the desert or to Casablanca. The well appointed bar area allowed us to order local Moroccan wine to enjoy under the stars in the courtyard or during the evening thunderstorms that we had that week. We took advantage of the included breakfast each morning - very filling and complete! The riad staff ensured our stay was a memorable one!"

"The room was clean but not at all shown in pictures, it was like low class motel not a 3 star hotel. The only saving grace was working AC since it is very hot in Marrakech and the location as it is in centre of the city and walking distance to malls and restaurants."

"We are three women in our 20s who stayed here for four nights. The staff was very very welcoming and respectful. They even served tea and pastries when we checked in and gave us an itinerary for Marrakesh. Although we had a lot of problems from check in to check out. We has problems with our shuttle to the hotel. The driver wasn‘t there and all of a sudden there were two drivers there at the airport. When we tried communicating with the hotel about it over the phone. They just hung up on us. Then when we checked in our room wasn‘t clean. For example the floor was very dirty and sticky. The drain in the shower was broken and we had hairs and stains on the bed sheets. We complained and the staff immediately apologised and said that we can change the room. The new room was fine although the toilet was shaking and felt like it would just fall over if you stand up too fast… And the lights and water weren‘t working for two hours one evening. The breakfast was just not what we imagined. It seemed unhygienic. There was a sick cat throwing up next to our table but the staff didn’t do anything about it. We never came for breakfast again after that morning. At Check Out therer were some mistakes with the bill and they almost overcharged us. So check your bill! Overall we felt safe because the reception is there 24/7 and they were very nice. MAYBE you can’t come to Marrakesh with european hygienic standards and expect the same as in spain and I don‘t mean it in a negative way"
