Large room with balcony and lovely views over the 18th green towards the mountains. Staff are very attentive and the room is always clean. Nothing is too much trouble and they regularly bring fresh water, small gifts and refreshments.

This was our second stay, we were welcomed like old friends. The staff are absolutely amazing they make the holiday really special. Hopefully we will be back later in the year

The hospitality is horrible, they gave me hard time to enter with my car every time you go in or out Checkin took long time, room was clean, food is ok, I asked for drinks multiple time I couldn't get any, servers don't speak English at all. The major problem is when you check out they hold you for around 30 minutes to send someone to check the room to make sure everything is ok, customer service in general is horrible. The hotel only have 1 pool with no service or food at the pool , they have a golf course in the hotel but i didn't get a chance to play. Not recommended at because you can get much better hotel at the same area with more convenient check-in and out.

Don’t travel here alone.

Not for solo travellers. Staff and service are focussed on couples sometimes appearing to show a disregard of solo travellers. Once you become accustomed to this the hotel is great. Rooms are very comfortable and the who public areas are spotless.

Absolutely outstanding hotel experience! We stayed here with our two daughters, ages 18 and 16, and every aspect was exceptional—from the delicious food and stylish ambiance to the fantastic location, top-notch fitness offerings, and delightful entertainment. But what truly makes this hotel stand out is the incredible staff. They were exceptionally attentive, genuinely kind, wonderfully funny, and very personable. Special thanks to Mr. Masry, Ahmed at reception, and the fantastic Kadou, the zen fitness instructor and world champion in Boccia. Highly recommend this gem! Thank you all for making our first visit to Egypt unbelievably memorable and for making us feel as if we were visiting our second home. Truly 5 stars in every category!

Do not go here the staff lies to you. Was setup and money was conned out of me. Management is extremely rude. This place is unsafe and needs to be removed from all travel websites. Feared for our lives this was the worst vacation resort ever.

Das Hotel ist ideal für Golfer, liegt direkt an einem sehr schönen, hügeligen Golfplatz in der Wüste. Das Personal is sehr aufmerksam und reagiert sofort, wenn man einen Wunsch hat ( auch wenn man als Frau diesen äußert, was in Ägypten nicht selbstverständlich ist). Das Essen ist vorzüglich und abwechslungsreich und uns ist in 19 Tagen kein Fall von Durchfall bekannt geworden ( sie haben eine Hygienebeauftragte und sind dafür auch ausgezeichnet worden). Den Strand ( gutes Shuttle) teilt man sich mit einem anderen Hotel und die Liegen mit Schirmen stehen etwas eng - wie aber auch an den anderen Hotelstränden in Makadi. Der im Winter beheizte Pool ist einfach aber schön. Die Ruhe am Pool ist sehr angenehm.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun or wanting to play golf this hotel could be for you. Small hotel with great friendly staff. it feels like coming home! The golf course is probably the best in Egypt. Well worth a visit and we hope to return next year.

Although this hotel is set some way from the beach it just adds to its appeal. Makadi has and continues to be developed by large (600 room plus) all inclusive hotels. Steigenberger has just 80 rooms and is in a different t class altogether. Surrounded by its own golf course it is an oasis of calm and sophistication. The rooms are large and well appointed with a larger than average bathroom. Separate bath and shower and plenty of storage space. Bathrobes, slippers and tea making facilities along with a large balcony ensure a very comfy stay. The bed is on the softer side and very comfy. The food was good, especially the lunch by the pool. The pool is large and heated. The staff are excellent, always smiling and as helpful as can be. In short, an excellent location for some winter sun, away from the crowds.

Steigenberger Makadi Hotel My wife and I have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at this hotel. We are thrilled to have discovered this place on Expedia.co.uk and will return in the future. The Steigenberger Makadi is a medium sized (under 100 rooms) hotel servicing a very good, championship golf course. We don’t play golf but we were attracted to this place because it is surrounded by the links and was therefore away from other hotels and shops making it a quiet and relaxed environment. Added to that there are no children as it is “adult only” and we were very happy.
