Come in famiglia
È stata una vacanza meravigliosa, e il merito è quasi tutto dell'accoglienza che mi hanno riservato. La guesthouse è piccola e confortevole, le camere sono pulite e accoglienti. Il personale è sempre disponibile, i dipendenti e il proprietario sono di una gentilezza e bontà infinita. Per quanto riguarda il cibo tutti i pasti sono abbondanti e molto gustosi, ad ogni pasto mi hanno offerto un succo di frutta ( frutta fresca locale) diverso, cosa molto gradita visto che Thoddoo è l'isola della frutta . La cucina locale è molto buona . Nella guesthouse hai a disposizione gratuitamente:pinne , maschere e attrezzatura varia per lo snorkeling e anche le biciclette . La spiaggia per turisti è a 10 minuti di bicicletta dalla guesthouse, ed è attrezzata con amache e lettini a disposizione di tutti. La barriera corallina è meravigliosa ed è a pochi metri dalla riva. Consiglio vivamente questo posto perché si riesce a percepire la vera vita maldiviana .

Мальдивы - это здорово!
Отдых очень понравился, шикарное море и отличный пляж, где туристы могут купаться в купальниках и плавках. Номера убирались каждый день, полотенца тоже.Сарджи, который обслуживал нас в отеле - очень приветливый и смышленный парень. Хозяин отеля - Ибрагим, пытался сделать все, чтобы отдыхающим понравилось. В последний день, организовал снорклинг на катере - было здорово! Положение отеля не очень удобное, так как стоит самым дальним от пляжа, мечеть рядом, где службы начинались в 5 утра.Все необходимое для проживания в отеле есть.

Sauberes und gepflegtes Gästehaus
Das Gästehaus selbst hat ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück ist zwar jeden Tag dasselbe, war aber sehr gut und man konnte dem Personal auch sagen wenn man etwas nicht mochte und es wurde eine Alternative gebracht. Die Zimmer waren gemütlich und gut ausgestattet (Teekocher, Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, TV...) und das Bad groß genug. Die offene Bauweise des Badezimmers hat uns sehr beeindruckt und war im Gegensatz zu den Standardhotelzimmer die wir bis jetzt kannten eine tolle Abwechslung.

Großartiges Guesthouse auf ruhiger u. grüner Insel
Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht wird sie hier finden. Die Insel ist wunderschön, ruhig und die Menschen dort waren sehr freundlich und offen. Das Guesthouse bietet alles, was man benötigt. Der Hausbesitzer organisiert gerne alle für die Malediven typischen Attraktionen (Schnorcheln, Tauchgänge, Ausflüge, ...). Jeder Wunsch wurde sofort erfüllt. Sehr positiv ist der Bikini-Strand. Dieser befindet sich zwar etwas abseits, der Weg führt aber an den kleinen Feldern (Papaya, Cucumber, Brinjal, ...) vorbei. Thoddoo ist eine sehr grüne Insel und die einheimischen WLAN war verfügbar und zumeist gut zu benutzen (zweimal hakte es ein wenig). Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Wer allerdings Shoppen möchte ist auf der Insel Thoddoo definitiv falsch. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen. Die Hausbesitzer und das Personal waren jederzeit hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich.

Unterbringung in Flüchtlingsunterkunft
Der Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war eine absolute Katastrophe. Das begann bereits an der Rezeption, wo nicht einmal englisch gesprochen wurde. Als ich am nächsten Morgen durch mehrmaliges Fragen zum Frühstück begleitet wurde (Das Frühstück finden nicht im Hotel sondern extern statt), verschlag es mir den Atem. Das Frühstückbuffet entpuppte sich als Henkersmahlzeit und glich einer Flüchtlingsunterkunft. Es waren dort ausschließlich Chinesen. Zur Auswahl standen vertrocknetes und hartes Toastbrot, abgezählte Butter und Marmelade sowie ein ekliger Brei aus Resten des Vorabends. Das Besteck war ebenfalls abgezählt und zudem schmutzig. War man spät, musste man mit den Fingern essen. Zudem war alles verschmutzt. Von Hygiene ganz zu schweigen. Der Tisch des Buffets war übersät von verschütteten Getränken. Alles war klebrig. Das Frühstück war so ungenießbar, dass ich darauf die restlichen Tage meines Aufenthalts verzichtete, obwohl im Preis inbegriffen. Aufgrund von Überbuchung wurde ich an einem anderen Standort auf der Insel untergebracht. Diese Unterkunft hatte jedoch nichts mit einem Hotel zu tun und glich einem Verließ. Es handelte sich um ein Haus, das aus Flur und zwei Zimmern bestand. Dort gab es nichts. Keine Rezeption, kein Ansprechpartner, keine Aktivitäten, keine Sitzmöglichkeiten, kein Empfang, kein Garten, kein TV, kein Kühlschrank, kein Zimmerservices, kein WLAN (Im Preis inbegriffen), nur ein Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage hat dort allerdings gut funktioniert.

Excellent value guest house
Serene Sky guest house is a gem in the rough, the island is not fully functional as a tourist destination yet so don't expect the sort of resort comforts found in the mainstream island destinations. What you will find is very friendly people without exception, low prices in getting there and on food in the cafe's and the local shop but some excursions need their prices looking at as they are equivalent to mainstream pricing and should be lower. The guest house is very clean, air conditioned and the staff do everything they can to help you. I organised my own transfers to and from the island and the owner sorted out the speedboat pick up and had someone meet me at the airport on arrival to accompany me to the ferry. The island itself is very green with all of the fruit grown serving the Maldives, the people are friendly all saying Hello when encountered in the street. The tourist beach is very clean and rival's main destination beaches and is the only place swimsuits may be worn as the whole island is of Muslim faith and this has to be considered when walking around to dress appropriately so as not to cause offence. This island and it's community deserve the support of tourists and in a few years time I recon prices will rise three fold.

Welcoming guest house on a beautiful island
We were looking for a simple, uncomplicated few days in Maldives, and Serene Sky was the perfect place to find it. The island of Thoddoo is fantastic -- uncommercialized, charmingly rustic, laid back and friendly. Serene Sky Guest House was the perfect place for us to enjoy it. They offered all the amenities we needed or wanted, including friendly staff, clean rooms, air conditioning, snorkel gear, and a private beach a 15-minute walk away that was clean and a short swim to the reef. Breakfasts were plentiful with toast, eggs, coffee and lots of fresh fruit & coconuts. The staff was very accommodating, and they went out of their way to provide information and assistance.

Great Guest House in a paradise local island
10 years ago we were on honeymoon trip to a resort island and it took us 10 years to return because of affordable guest houses on local islands: thank you Maldives authorities for that great opportunity. Serene Sky is located on local island (this means that island is inhabited by local people, other Maldives islands either not inhabited at all or resort island without local people living on the island, only tourists). The island is called Thoddoo and it's in Top 10 of Maldives largest islannds (approximately 1,5x1.3 km). Tourists appeared on Thoddoo only 2 years ago and this is a big plus. The island is not overcrowded by them (unlike closest Rasdhoo island which is 3 times smaller and FULL of tourists) and has not become commercial yet. If you want to feel almost total isolation from outside world Thoddoo is your land. Local people are extremely friendly and hospitable and it was a great experience to become friends with them. Some practical information: we had only Bed and breakfast and it's possible to have lunch or dinner in several cafes across the island. The prices vary from 5 to 15 USD per person. Also there are about 10 shops on the island with food and other basic goods. WiFi works well so you will not feel 100% isolated. The tourist beach is the best beach I have ever seen in my life: clean white sand, crystal clear ocean water of many kinds ofcolour full of fishes in coral reefs so you will not be disappointed.
