The property has a very ‘hands off’ approach to hosting.
The hotel was fully booked and the strain showed especially at breakfast in the morning where staff seemed stressed out, an extra pair of hands wouldn’t have gone amiss.
The property is actually 2 buildings separated by a road- which I do not think was adequately explained prior to booking.
SA Bisbal is not the main house so it is kind of an afterthought.
You never see any staff there, so if you need anything you have to go down the road and across the street to get assistance. All facilities are based in the main house.
There was no help in getting luggage into the rooms- there are a lot of stairs in the property.
My 70 yr old mother struggled.
There ice machine was empty for our whole 3 nights stay, New towels were not given- little things that go towards care and attention were missing.
The ‘Honesty Bar’ in the main property was well stocked, so if u wanted a drink that wasn’t beer or soda you had to schlep across the road once again.
Also be aware of parking your car in the car park- which is just a public one and not anything to do with the hotel.
When it is full parking options in the town are very limited- and it seems the local police like to hand out parking fines!
You may be staying in the property but you would be better off staying in an air bnb as service you expect and pay for in a hotel just wasn’t quite there.
