“Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We were a large family group and they always kept us together dining. The chef cooked the fish some of the fisherpeople among us caught to perfection. Have to do more about keeping the birds at bey in the dining room. They were much too aggressive and had too much open access to the buffet presenting potential health concerns. “Our first trip to Barbados and we chose the Royalton Essence. Its a brand new resort and so we got a big discount for coming during soft launch. The report is amazing with beautiful rooms and a swimable beach great for snorkeling. The staff are the highlight of the resort. The people are amazingly friendly and they go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. There is entertainment throughout the day and at night. Everyone we met had a great time. We will be back!”

“Beautiful beach and great rooms. The food and beverage let this hotel down. Very little choice on the menu and the quality was not great. The website states 2 restaurants to choose from, only one restaurant was open at a time. The beach/ pool drinks service was non existent. Many guests chose to eat elsewhere. This could be an amazing hotel with the right leadership.”
