Great option
It is a nice hotel with great view out to a lake. It is very well located at walking distance from the town square. There's a little cozy bar and their restaurant is good.

the elevator floor need cleaning. The carpet in the room was relativitl new but with different spots The sope in the bathroom was difficult to come out of a container and I had to buy some sope in a supermarket!!!!

Comfortable with a view you can't beat
Overall the stay was comfortable especially considering the price. The room was clean and spacious. The free breakfast was nice. I was worried when I saw several bad reviews, but I think they are exaggerated. Yes, the hotel is a little bit rundown in places, but for the location and price it's totally worth it. The views, the lakefront paths, and the cute village are all lovely too.

Rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment, decor looks like from the 1990s. Both beds in my room were worn out and uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the restaurant was unable to give me a table as they were too busy. It's a pity that the hotel is poor, because the location overlooking a lake is lovely.

This was a beautiful hotel in a small town in Denmark. The locals were friendly and it was a very cute town. This hotel was quite grand with a gorgeous lake view. We went for a walk on the lake, and the kids had a mini golf course to play at. The breakfast was so good! The staff was so helpful. I asked for a couple food items in the evening when we checked in, and they were so accomodating. There is an ice cream place right next to the hotel that is outstanding! I saw some locals having it so I went over. Highly recommend to stay here if you are on your way over from the ferry.

This place is very outdated and extremely uncomfortable. The beds are really bad, there is no in room comforts, no mineral water, no coffee or tea facilities. Reception staff are very friendly! Management of this place needs to invest in the beds, bedding and I room comforts.

Nothing but disappointment
No coffee at breakfast. Breakfast terrible. I ordered double beed, which apparently does not exist. Two very small singles which moved apart. Happy landings. Room old and needs refurbishing. Charme of the sixties.

I keep having to stay here because there is really no where else to stay… staff is fine. It’s just they have this million dollar view and the rooms are like a motel near a prison. Sooooo dated sooo sooooo dated… they tried to slap some window dressing on the Lobby but it’s just really ashamed. This particular trip I could hear absolutely everything going on with my neighbors to the left right and up and down. People running and screaming in the halls. Well I guess till someone braves up enough to buy it and knock it down and build something beautiful… this is what it is.

The staff was great and very kind. Also the lake area outside is wonderful. Only thing lacking here is an update to the rooms. Our room had a constant stuffy/moldy smell. I know it's an older property..but updating the rooms/carpeting would make this much more recommendable.

Nice, but they should hire new cleaners
Upside: Really friendly staff, and the location is wonderful. Downside: The state of the hotel is very run down, from the carpets with folds in them to the shabby exterior of the hotel. In the room itself, we found towels with lipstick on them, mold on the shower curtain, other weird black growth on the showerhead, and a bath that badly needed descaling and thorough cleaning.

Nice place to stay after a full day visit of Kroborg Safari Park. In the center of a pieceful town and nice lake walk path just out of hotel.

Der er rigeligt plads til forbedringer
Vi har gennem de sidste flere år overnattet på Søparken, de har haft renovering i gang i flere år og vi har været overbærende i forhold til støv og dårlig rengøring, da vi sidste år oplevede afføring på toiletrulle og kumme og sorte og gule fedtede belægninger på badeværelset, bestilte vi derfor et superior værelse i år, Værelset var nusset og badeværelset var ikke indbydende med hår på gulvet og sorte skimmelbelægninger i alle dyserne i spabadekarret, det indbød ikke til vandgang på nogen måde. Hvis der er andre overnatningsmuligheder centralt i Maribo midtby kan vi nemt lokkes til noget andet, når vi skal derned igen næste gang.
