We have enjoyed Pickalbatros Sungo. The property was very clean. The staff very polite, welcoming, nice and helpful. Pools were very clean. We have enjoyed water park. Food was fresh and abundant. The weather in March (end of March) did not cooperate and we had couple gloomy and rainy days but this was not the fault of the resort. The only thing we did not like and we thought the resort management could have done a better job was the entertainment area and its quality. The area was basically a bar in the basement, smelled like cigarette. Very tiny and not enough seats and lacked security code (only one way in and no emergency doors). Not sure why they did not do entertainment outdoors next to the main cafe? We basically tried entertainment the first night and never went back.

Food was good, not exceptional but quite good choices. BIG problem is with "fresh fruit". Melon, pineapple, plums etc were tasteless. I expect the fruit had been frozen and defrosted....not a good thing. Rest of food was good. Tables and chairs in restaurants were very basic and could have been in a canteen. Restaurants, pool area and all surrounding areas were always more than spotless with cleaners continually cleaning the floors and all other areas. The hotel could do with a nice quieter bar with comfortable seating as the sports bar tends to be very noisy. There is the lobby bar, which has comfortable seating but it is mainly a coffe bar with bakery products which are all delicious. But no cocktail bar as such. The 3 story builings would benefit from lifts (elevators) as we were informed that this was a problem for customers with walking problem and parents with push chairs with young children. Also getting up to sports bar which has a long flight of stairs.

Lots of positives and some negatives. In short I would go again. To expand a little... the complex and the layout are very good. It's a very nicely styled hotel. Compliments to the room cleaning staff, the restaurant staff, the bar staff (other than a bit of a grumpy guy called Omar at the pool bar) and compliments too to the entertainment team (though my kids didn't do much with them). All those guys were great. Reception staff were hit and miss. The luggage handler guys were imposing and controlling - I absolutely hated having my room key taken away from me while two luggage handlers escorts me to my room. Felt like a total tip-grab attempt. Food we maybe a 3.5 - 4 starts out of 5. Some bits were excellent, and other bits less so. There was always a plentiful supply though. I don't think you can expect too much out of an all-inclusive so for me this was fine - but my wife notes that we had better in Turkey. Now to my main gripe... it is absolutely unacceptable for a so-called 5* hotel to downgrade your room on arrival without any prior notification and then claim that you cannot have the room type you booked because we are full. You quite simply don't over-allocate. We got put into a double room which then had 2x extra temporary single beds squeezed in. When people book their holidays they pay careful attention to the room they choose and the extra money they are willing to pay for it - so downgrading you (and worse finding this out at 11pm with 2x small kids) was poor

Very mixed review, since some aspects were great and some not so much! the check-in was arduous, instead of just being told the truth that our room was not ready, and given a realistic time to come back, we were strung along and moved from place to place, it was very hard with kids after a long journey. The check-out was also lengthy and frustrating for no reason. The pool towel policy is pathetic, childish and frankly embarrassing. We couldn't work out where to get them from, where to change them, it was one of the annoying things about the holiday. Overall its a nice hotel, but being on the second floor with no lifts and young baby was very hard, terrible view of wasteland. But we made the most of the pools, waterpark etc. so we had a nice time overall.

Vraiment choquée de cet hôtel. Il y a un problème avec les installations électriques et mon sèche cheveux Dyson a grillé tout le bâtiment était d’ailleurs victime d’incident durant toute la journée la chambre d’à côté n’avait pas d’électricité du tout. L’hôtel n’a fait aucune compensation même pas un brushing offert qui coûte d’ailleurs 500dh. C’est du vol 50€ un brushing au Maroc

Wir hatten schlechte Erfahrung mit der Rezeption gemacht. Erst liess man uns sehr lange warten (>3h) und anschliessend gab es ein angebliches Upgrade allerdings, war das die Kategorie, welche wir gebucht haben. Das Zimmer, was wir gebucht haben, war mit 92m2 angegeben. Was sich aber als Irrtum rausstellte. Es war ungefähr 45m2, inkl. Balkon, gross. Jeden Tag hatten wir weniger Tücher, trotz mehrmaligem Nachfragen wurde die Minibar nicht mehr aufgefüllt und von unseren 5 Tagen Aufenthalt ging das Internet 3 Tage nicht. Für mich Dinge, die bei dem Preis klappen sollten. Denn das Hotel liegt ausserhalb der Altstadt und man benötigt jedesmal ein Taxi (ca. 20 Euro pro Fahrt). Das Essen war ok, aber alles lauwarm oder sogar kalt. Das Servicepersonal ist hingegen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wellnessangebote sind im oberen Preissegment, ähnlich Deutschland / Schweiz.
