Wonderful unique vintage B&B

Wonderful, unique bed and breakfast - especially for anyone who likes vintage furnishing! Everything was so clean and all the room decorations thought out. It was one of the best places i have stayed. Breakfast was fantastic and overall great value for money.

Worse two nights of our lives!!!

Absolutley shocked and disgusted at the state and smell of the place. We arrived at 10pm after travelling all day from 8am. The woman answering the door appeared a bit unkempt, but offered to heat food up we had brought with us, which was very nice of her. Although we accepted her hospitality, we reluctantly ate some of our meal, as we were extremely hungry and there was no where else opened to eat in the village. we had chosen this b&b to attend our friends funeral in the morning, which was very local to where the service was being held. The b&b had 5 star reviews and looked okay in the photos advertised but it was absolutley disgusting and would never recommend it to anyone. The chairs in the tv room, were extremely dirty and not a place you could comfortably sit in. I do not think this place should be advertised as a b&b, and that the environmental health department should be making an assessment to confirm this.She then took us up the stairs,( the carpets were thread bear and absolutley filthy)to our bedroom, which made you cringe even more when you walked in. The pillow case on one of the beds was stinking of sweat, therefore we took it off and put our own jumpers in the pillows to sleep. The duvets appeared more fresher, but the sheet on one bed appeared either stained with bleach or just discoloured. We felt we had no choice but to stay here, the funeral was in the morning, and after the wake and a few drinks, we very relunctanty had to stay the second night.

A real gem!

It exceeded our expectations in every way. We were graciously welcomed into Benedict‘s home. The orientation to the room covered everything we needed to know. The Wi-Fi was fast, the bed was so comfortable and everything was spotless. Every convenience, including bottled water, provided for us. Breakfast was superb. Included yogurt, cereal, croissant, fresh fruit, eggs, cooked to preference, cheese, coffee, tea, juice. It was perfect. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Je recommande vivement !

Excellent séjour dans cette chambre d'hôtes agréable dès l'accueil chaleureux. La chambre est spacieuse, avec une literie de qualité, une belle salle de bains avec baignoire. Au centre du village mais calme absolu donc idéal pour se reposer. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et avec quelques bons produits faits maison. Merci beaucoup
